Jim decided to step up to the plate. “It’s ok Stacy, I’ll stay home with him and you go to the store for ex-lax.”
Stacy thought about it and looked at Mike, who had pleading eyes to stay home. He looked so desperate to not have to go back out in public again.
“Ok fine, but next time you are coming with us. Remember, you are two years old now. Until we figure out how to get you back to your age, you cannot stay home by yourself.” Mike listened to Stacy and silently acknowledged how much of a mother figure she sounded like in that moment.
“Don’t worry Stacy, I’ve got this.” Jim said with confidence. Stacy then told them to be good while she was gone to the store to get ex-lax for Mike.
After she left, Jim looked at Mike, “So what do you want to do while we wait?” He asked, raising up his arms in question. Mike had to think for a minute. He then shrugged his shoulders and arms as well, not sure what to do while they waited for Stacy’s return.
“How about we watch some tv? Or a good movie?” Jim asked. Mike like the idea of that as he nodded his head. “Does it have to be a baby movie?” Mike asked. “Not necessarily, but you sure that you don’t wanna watch a Disney movie? You are at a good age to enjoy them again”
Mike did realize that maybe him being a toddler might give him some babyish tendencies, like laughing at some silly things. He also did like Disney deep down. He did grow up with it after all. “Ok, that sounds good,” replied Mike.
Jim then decided to pick Mike up and grabbed a couple of things and headed over to the couch to turn on Disney plus. He came across the movie Toy Story and Mike told him to pick that movie. Jim picked it and started the movie.
One of the things Jim brought over was some snacks, he had to pick some that would work well with little Mikey’s stomach as he didn’t want a blowout to occur or to make his constipation any worse. He picked pretzel sticks. He broke some up into little bits for Mike while they watched the movie.
Shortly after the movie began, Jim took the pretzel sticks away and set them on the nightstand next to the couch. “I think we better wait until you completely go later on when Stacy gets back.” Mikey looked disappointed, really want to eat those snacks. “But I got another surprise for ya!” Jim stated in an attempt to excite Mike as he fetched something else out of his pocket. “Wha-?” Mike didn’t get to finish his question as his pacifier was inserted back into his mouth. Mike was kinda surprised, but it didn’t take long until he started sucking on it again.
“Wow, you really like that thing don’t ya squirt?” Jim asked. Mike blushed fiercely and looked away while sucking his pacifier furiously. Jim chuckled a bit. “Hey, it’s ok, you’re two now and it’s alright to like things that kiddos your age use. There’s nothing wrong with sucking your binky at your age.” He tried to reassure Mike, he also picked him up off the seat and sat him in his lap. Mike was really shocked, but kinda like it. “You know, I’m kinda glad this happened. Stacy and I are getting serious, and this is like a test to see if I’m good with children or not,” Jim explained to Mike, “I’d say Uncle Jimbo is doing a pretty good job don’t ya think kiddo?” He asked Mike while ruffling his hair.
Mike giggled a little bit around his pacifier and slightly nodded while looking up at Jim. He was kind of fighting the adult in him when he heard the term ‘Uncle Jimbo,’ he internally told himself ‘wait, now Jim thinks he’s my uncle, AND I am beginning to enjoy this? I’m forgetting that I’m not really two, I can’t let myself completely give in to my baby-like state!’ Mike then began to suck his pacifier some more, calming himself down. ‘But, on the other hand, I might as well milk this baby thing as much as I can before I change back. It can’t hurt to be pampered for a bit I guess.’ He grinned slightly and readjusted himself, in a way that he was leaning back against Jim in order to be comfy while watching the movie.
Jim noticed and looked down at Mikey being all comfortable, he smiled. He felt that he was gonna make a great dad someday.
