Marty and Ollie went through the breakfast line, filling up their trays with tons of delicious food. Putting together a well-balanced vegetarian breakfast came naturally to Marty, with memories of his coach giving him meal plans to help him build the lean muscle that he’d been working on for the past year. God, that coach was a hottie, Marty thought to himself as he piled his tray high with greens, fruits, and nuts. Memories filled his mind of spending his last year of middle school buckling down and getting ready for high school tryouts the next fall, helped out by his favorite big brother of course. It made him feel even worse for making George worry earlier.
The two boys sat down together and started to chow down, with Ollie nervously looking around before leaning over and whispering intently, his cold canine nose pressing gently into Marty’s ear. “So… Do you want to talk about last night?” he said, blushing bright red under his fur.
“Last n-,” Marty started to say, then a surge of new memories blasted him. Hard.
Orientation on the first day of camp. They’d met and hit it off immediately. Spent the day together. Snuck out after dark and met in a field behind the cabins. Holding hands became cuddling. Cuddling became kissing, and then making out for hours under the stars. Both of their first kisses. Considered going further but they’d heard a counselor coming…
“Oh. Y-yeah, of course… Last night.” Marty said, breathing hard as he recovered from the intense experience he had just undergone. In the back of his head, he knew none of it had ever happened, that it was all some bizarre phenomenon he could never hope to explain. But his heart was beating like a nervous boy with his first boyfriend, and for the time being all these feelings were affecting him like they truly were his. Even the part of him that was still Marie could still relate to that part, since she had been young and in love once as well.
“I… I had a lot of fun, Ollie,” Marty said. He swallowed the lump in his throat and whispered back, “I’d like to… Want to do it again?”
Ollie’s bushy tail was wagging happily when he heard that and he burst into a beautiful grin that made him a million times more adorable to Marty. “Yeah! I’d love to!” Ollie said, fighting the urge to kiss his friend on the lips right there. “What did you have in mind?”
Meanwhile, George looked over from chatting with Todd and some of the other counselors toward Marty and Ollie talking together secretly, hoping that the coyote boy could distract Marty long enough for the camp to work its magic. “Todd’s all mine now. Sorry about that, kiddo,” he thought to himself as he finished up his breakfast and got ready for the rest of the day.

Over at the lake, Grayson and Liam were hard at work after eating a quick breakfast together, making sure they had enough inflatable tubes, life vests, goggles, canoes, paddles, and everything else they’d need to keep the kiddos busy and active in the hot summer sun. Liam had changed into a speedo-style suit, claiming that it was more comfortable for his big tail, but mostly just wanting to show off for Grayson, who could barely focus on his job with the handsome and confident beaver specimen taking every chance to distract him.
“Let’s see… We’ve got eighteen paddles!” Grayson announced, putting them together near the canoes.
“Make that nineteen!” Liam teased, shaking his ass and wiggling his thick, paddle-like tail in Grayson’s direction. On some level, Liam knew something was very strange about this whole situation, but he absolutely loved the new sense of confidence and raw sexuality that this furry body of his exuded. He had everything he’d ever wanted back in his old life: friends, respect, maturity, responsibility, and (if he played his cards right here) a hunky boyfriend who seemed to be a total bottom.
“Really cute, Liam,” Grayson said while blushing, hoping his surf trunks were loose enough to hide his half-boner. “But the kiddos will be here any minute, so let’s try to get this done, ‘kay dude?”
“Just about done!” Liam said, hefting up two aluminum canoes in his thick arms and hauling them over to the lakeshore. After he’d put them down, he let out a big sigh of happiness as he looked out over the lake, hoping that his mom was doing okay, wherever she’d ended up. He heard the sounds of critter kids heading up the path behind him, and braced himself, hoping that his newfound confidence wouldn't fail him now.
