"This ring will allow you to swap intelligence with anyone you touch. The swap will last for 24 hours, unless if you touch the person again. If you touch them again, the swap will become last until you touch them for a third time after the 24 hour period. Any changes will alter reality to fit your new status," said the voice, as the ring floated up in the air and slowly put itself on Jeremy's finger. The voice continued, saying "Once you have used this ring five times, I will bestow a new swapping ring to you and allow you to remove this one. Good luck!"
Jeremy tugged on the ring, trying to pull it off. However, it wouldn't budge. He sighed as he stared at the small golden band. This thing could be useful, but potentially very dangerous as well. He could easily use it to become a genius, but he was at risk of turning into a moron as well. "I've really got to be careful with this," he said aloud. "It seems like I have to use at least five times, though. I wonder who I should test it on?"
Jeremy continued to walk home, thinking about what to do next...
