It was rapidly apparent that most of the kids present were currently possessed by fog demons. Once that fact was reported to Loreleď, she ordered the children to be made prisoner until she either was available to force the demons out of the kids, or until the fog demons exited their bodies to try escaping. (Whichever happened first.)
For now her priority was the cocoon she was still hugging and couldn't move without breaking (which would killing its occupant). Only when said cocoon started moving, announcing it was about to hatch, did she finally let go of it and take a few step back. Loreleď was readying herself to meet her new daughter, fearing how she would react to how much she changed.
… And ended so dumbfounded when she saw her friends' son going out of the cocoon, still looking exactly as he did before being forced into it.
At first, the boy was a bit disoriented, but he slowly remembered being possessed by a fog demon who then made him kill his own parents and his best friend's parents, once it was clear the fog demon possessing her wouldn't do it. Then the leader of those demons, who strangely enough was not one of the same kind, forced him into some sort of cocoon without letting the fog demon in him get out. After that he just remembered the voice of his kidnappers' leader being muffled by the cocoon's walls, then later another muffled voice who kept saying sorry (among other things) while he felt some sort of connection between him and the voice's owner establishing itself.
As he got out, he wondered how he regained control of his body, since the fog demon was never able to get out. What happened to it? Then he inexplicably felt the presence of the one that had hugged his cocoon while saying ‘sorry’ and looked in her direction, and was surprised to see a demoness everyone knew: the empress herself. Remembering lessons on how one should comport themselves in presence of the empress and silently bowed, not trusting his voice.
"No need to be so formal Louie. I know my duties prevented me from visiting but I'm your godmother, your parents and me were friends. Look," The empress was showing a photo on her smartphone. The human kid could see two person that were clearly his parents, albeit younger, together with the Empress and her husband who, surprisingly, were dressed like commoners. "So please, call me either Auntie or Loreleď."
While she didn't show it, not wanting to scare Louie more than he must already be, but she had a hard time understanding what had happened. She felt linked to him, the way a succubus felt linked to her daughters, which didn't make sense since Louie was still human. Said boy hesitated a moment before finally asking "Aunty Loreleď, can I hug you?"
Louie was feeling hungry, but not the usual way. He hesitated a moment before finally asking "Aunty Loreleď, can I hug you?" something in him telling him it was the remedy to this strange hunger-like feeling.
"Of course you can sweety, of course you can." As soon as their body touched, Loreleď could see and feel Louie's body shifting. It wasn't a human boy hugging her anymore, but a starving succubus girl ravenous devouring the delicious food that his her mother's maternal love.
She now was a demon-girl, and it felt as natural as being a human-boy had felt a few second earlier, before she changed. But she didn't care right now, all she cared was the love her mom was gently giving her, filling her empty stomach. She felt guilty about suddenly thinking of Loreleď as her mother. She had another one after all, one her own hands had killed, even if they were controlled by a fog demon and not herself.
Fearing what consequence would have separating from her hungry daughter would have on the younger succubus, Loreleď looked at one of her guards and asked them to go fetch the only person who might have an answer about what happened to Louie among peoples she trusted: Her personal doctor.
