In the end Josh tried to adapt to his new body, resigned, but couldn't. He was still going to school, but his result plummeted worst than it was even believed possible, unable to concentrate on his work. It was like his mind was rejecting his new body, and his mother berating him over his results didn't help, especially with how she reacted when he tried to explain why his results were so low.
Only 6 month later, about to be expelled and reaching a huge level of self-hate Josh, or rather Jenna as he was now known, tried to end his life. He failed, ‘thanksfully’, but the harm was done. After being examined by every curious psychiatrist it was discovered his mind was so fundamentally male, that turning him into a woman had made him suffer gender dysphoria but, because he didn't want to disappoint his mother, he tried to go on as if there was no problem, pushing his mind to the breaking point.
Turning him back into a man would prevent his health from deteriorating even more, but Josh would never again be a working member of society.
You'll think it would make peoples question if gender policies in schools were a good thing, but the government covered everything, so their friend in the sex-changing business would continue to gain cash on school-money. …Not that being in the know made Josh's mom change her mind on the subject.
The sad truth is that Josh isn't the first victim of the gender-policies of more and more schools, and won't be the last either. How long before it's finally acknowledged? Will it happen before its too late?
