“Oh Mable, I thought you were dead after you left chasing that...” she suddenly stopped the hug and moved you to arms length. “Where in the name of the moons have you been? Your locator went off line, and you never responded to any of our transmissions?”
Not wanting to unnecessarily complicate things, you decide to reveal that you're not really Mable. "I'm n…" only to get interrupted by the mother of all headaches. You feel lot of memories rushing to you starting with all of Mable's, from her earliest one to the time of her disappearance, soon followed by multiples lives on earth. First living as a human woman, but still remembering your previous existence as Mable, but human lives soon followed others, each remembering less of Mable and loosing in femininity, until you were a man full of toxic masculinity without any memories of Mable. (And you would have scoffed at the very idea of you being any kind of female elf.)
All this caused you to cry, hugging Welna, the elf that came to see you once you came back to the Acorn Enclave, who was also your lover. You tell her how you had discovered your enemies, the Troll Alliance, had created a new weapon and, knowing they were about to use it and spell the whole world's doom, were forced to go on a suicide mission to sabotage it, alone. How instead of killing you, the weapon's explosion sent you to another universe, somewhere called Earth, which decided to turn you into one of its inhabitants and to reincarnate you time and again until it could purge all femininity out of you, replacing it by a toxic level of masculinity and, only upon finding your mech, which was somehow able to recognize you and turn you back, were you able to return.
Of course learning that you had been male, especially for so long, disgusted Welna who immediately put some distance between the two of you. Wood Elves had long ago, thanks to their technologies, lost the need for males. Thanks to that they put an end to the other gender, putting an end to the problems caused by having more than one.
