Josh pressed his face down into his pillow to muffle his sobbing. What the hell had happened to him? His girlfriend had promised a fun weekend… a chance to feel like a kid again and just let loose. Yeah, he felt like a kid again, for sure. A fucking miserable one. Whenever he had a moment to himself, he went over all the faces of the animal people he’d run into over the past few hours, desperately trying to find the tiniest trace of his girlfriend.
Was she the bluejay girl who’d ran into him on the way to breakfast? No. The 6-year-old fox boy who had started crying that he missed his mommy and daddy? No, probably not him either. Marco, the hare in their cabin who had been desperately trying not to stare at his ass in the shower. Unlikely. He hoped that he’d get a hint of recognition as he went over the dozens of people he had met that day, from the little critter kids, his fellow teenage campers, and the counselors…
At the thought of the counselors, he felt a rush of teenage hormones surge through him, for what felt like the tenth time that day. He’d forgotten that part about being 13. “Can’t this fucking place just let me be miserable in peace?” he mumbled to himself as images of all the male counselors flashed through his mind. The chunky hedgehog and his cute little paunch barely sticking out from under his shirt. The absolutely massive bear and the equally impressive bulge in his shorts. The sleek, tall opossum that filled out his uniform wonderfully and always had a sexy smile on his face. And… and…
Josh felt his teenage dick twitch hard at the last one. Vince, the rhino. Arms that looked like they were about to tear open his shirt. A hard, powerful ass that was always clearly outlined against his shorts. And that horn… the phallic implications practically wrote themselves. Why couldn’t Josh stop thinking about him ever since he’d dragged him and Ricky back to Alex’s office earlier?
…No. I couldn’t be… could it? Josh tried to think of his girlfriend’s face for what felt like the hundredth time, but all he could think of was the big rhino’s handsome face. He tried to think of his own human face and… nothing. Just that fucking beautiful rhino. Why the fuck did this have to happen!? Josh started to sob again as he frantically humped his bunk, unable to think clearly anymore after this newest revelation.
“Vince… Vince… Oh, god, Vince…” he muttered into his pillow, hoping to God that nobody walked in on him in such a pathetic state.
But, of course, he wasn’t so lucky.
“Vince? Nah, I’m tellin’ you. Soren’s waaaaay hotter. I mean, he’s got all that fur. Grey’s just not my color, y’know?” Josh jumped at the sound of another voice, slamming his head into the bottom of the bunk above him and bruising the little nubs of antlers on his head.
“Argh… Fuck!” Josh shouted in pain, then he turned to see Martin sitting on the bunk next to him, watching him with a big grin on his face. That fucking cute little grin. “Why can’t you just leave me alone, you fucking perv!?”
“Who’re you calling a perv? I’m not the one sneaking off to jerk off thinking about the counselors,” Martin shot back, making Josh blush and quickly pull a blanket over to cover himself up. Martin’s pointed face softened when he saw the tears on Josh’s face, however. “…Are you okay? Need to talk about it?”
Josh slumped down in his bunk and buried his face in his hooved hands, hating how they reminded him of this bizarre new body he’d found himself occupying. “No, I don’t. I… I need to find a way out of here… It’s… there’s something weird going on…” he said, desperately trying to say clearly what was bothering him but unable to explain what exactly was so wrong with him turning into a teenage deer, like a filter was being put on every word that came out of his mouth.
A flash of understanding crossed Martin’s face, since he had been getting a weird feeling that something strange was going on at the camp that he was unable to put into words. “You too, huh? I thought it was just me,” Martin said, quietly walking over and sitting next to Josh. “You’re right… this place is weird, isn’t it?” Martin gingerly put a paw around the crying deer’s shoulder, and the sad boy leaned right up against him without thinking. “But, y’know… weird can be fun, can’t it? There’s something exciting about all this weirdness, and I kinda want to see where it goes. I'd ask those other two to join me, but I've got a feeling they'll be making kissy faces at each other for the next few days. So, a spot on my team just opened up, if you're interested."
Josh couldn’t help but chuckle at the marten’s little speech, and wiped his face off. He wasn’t about to give in and let this stupid camp mess him up like the others, but maybe Martin was right and he could at least enjoy himself while he tried to figure out what was going on. Not that there would be anything enjoyable about hanging around with that creep... right?
