Ann bit her lip nervously as Mia and Winery now stared eachother down. The werewolf princess and witchling were now showing off their full display if power. Winery had transformed into an 8 foot snow white werewolf, while Mia's eyes glowed blood red, sparks of electricity arching off her body. "I have to do something before someone gets hurt."
Before Ann could act Winery and Mia found themselves ensnared by by two fury tails. Shocked they now struggled against their bindings, wondering what happened.
"That's enough!"
All eyes now turned to the kitsune, a fierce expression on his vulpine face. Seeing the five tails had restrained them useing two of his five tails the teens quickly stopped struggling.
Akira glared at the students within the lunchroom, all going quiet as the new head of security scanned them. Rexie, seeing the anger on Akiras face now tried to make an escape, the black tabby slinking her way into the shadows. Unfortunately she wasnt quite fast enough.
"Where do you think you're going," Akira bellowed. Rexie have a frightened squeak as the kitsune now grasped her by the scruff of her neck. "I didnt do anything," Rexie whined, attempting to sway the kitsune with a paw but only causing herself to spin awkwardly. "You cant prove nothing."
Akira simply scoffed, gazing at the three of them. "My office NOW!" Mia and Winery were silent as Akira observed the destruction the two teens had caused. With a wave of his hand, Akira now began to fix the damaged. Tables righted themselves, spilled food emptied itself into garbage cans, and windows reformed. In seconds the lunchroom was restored to its previous appearance.
As Akira now escorted the three into his office, Winery and Mia now found themselves sitting in chairs before Akiras desk. As Mia gazed at the office, she could see Akira still seemed to be moving in. Boxes of unpacked books still littered the floor. As Mia looked at the back wall her eyes went wide in fright.
The teenage witch could see a katana, mounted on a stand. Mia instantly recognized it, it belonged to Isao, the kitsune that had terrorized her for monthes when she was a child. Apparently Akira had kept the sword, a trophy he had used when he saved the teen from Isao and Cassues.
Akira raised an eyebrow, seekng the frightened look on her face as she appeared close to hyperventilating. Looking back he could see the teens vision locked on the katana. For Akira it was a trophy but for Mia it reminded her of perhaps the most traumatic event in her young life. Grabbing a sheet, the kitsune now covered the sword hoping to put the girl at ease. "Tell me what happened?"
"Her familiar dumped a bucket of water on me," Winery yelled, pointing an clawed finger at the imp. "I know Mia told her to do that."
"No I didn't," Mia exclaimed. "And you threatened to destroy Rexie!"
"Enough," Akira yelled, slamming his fist down on the desk. "Both if you need to control yourself. Take a breath and relax."
Mia and Winery grunted in frustration, the snow white werewolf now transforming once more into human form. Winery's body began to shrink, her snow white fur receding as muzzle shrank down once more to human proportions. Folding her arms across her chest the pretty blond teen now glared at Mia.
"Mia you need to control your familiar," Akira started. A smug smirk now crossed Mias face as she was about to protest. "However, I realize Rexie is not an ordinary familiar. She has free will which makes her, troublesome, to say the lease."
Akira now turned to Winery, his steely gaze now burning into the werewolf princess. "Threatening the destruction of a witches familiar is a very serious offense," he stated. "You are well aware of that fact, perhaps more so than even Mia. Magical law states that a witch can use lethal force of her familiar is threatened."
Mia now looked at Winery, noticing her werewolf head droop. She had no idea their were laws protecting Rexie. "I'm sure you are aware Winery that if Mia had killed you their would be nothing your family could do in retaliation."
Winery simply gave a small nod, glancing up at an obviously bewildered Mia. Akira sighed, sinking into his chair as he gazed at the two teens. "Both if you shall be receiving detention starting tomorrow," he said. Neither teen protested, although they were curious as to why tomorrow. Akira now turned to Rexie, the black tabby giving him a defiant look. "You cant punish me fox boy I'm not a student."
"No but I can ban you from the grounds imp," Akira countered. "Trust me when I say I can create the necessary charms preventing your entry onto school grounds. Plus I'll be telling Ayami, I'm sure she'll have something to say about this." Rexie simply winced, knowing Ayami she would probably smack her upside the head for this.
As the two teens were now dismissed, Akira beckoned Mia to stay. Closing the door the kitsune now gave the girl an empathic look. "I'm sure you're wondering why your detention is tomorrow?"
"Yeah a little," Mia nodded. "I mean I get it I screwed up but I'm a little relieved its tomorrow and not today."
"Because of Yuriko," Akira finished, much to Mias surprise. "Yes Mia I am aware that you and Zack will be visiting the girl afterschool. It was her first day of preschool I believe?"
Mia simply nodded, watching as Akira now stood, placing a hand on her shoulder as he gave her an empathic smile. "I made a promise to watch over and protect you three with my life," he said. "You, Zack, Yuriko, none of you will suffer as long as I draw breath. I will not have your irresponsible actions cause that child misery."
"Thank you Akira," Mia mumbled. "I'm sorry, I screwed up."
"I know your sorry Mia," he smiled. "But please, do not force my hand while at school. I may be your guardian but I gave my word to protect this school. I may have made an oath to protect you and the others but I still have a job to do."
"It wont happen again Akira," Mia said. "I promise, no more screw ups."
Akira nodded, watching as the teen exited his office. As he did he recalled how a future version of this girl had spared him, giving him a chance to become something more than the creature who frightened children in a future that did not come to pass. The kitsune warrior was forging a new destiny thanks to Mia. Now he could only hope the girl would create a better future for herself.
