Thankfully after everything that happened at lunch things were quiet. As Ann now exited the school she could see Mia walking towards the bus. "Hey Mia everything turn out okay?"
"Got detention tomorrow," she shrugged. Ann apologized as the girl hung her head. "So what are you up to now," Ann asked.
"Well me and Zack were going to the other timeline," Mia said. "Its Yuriko's first day of preschool. We promised we would visit last time we babysat her."
"The other timeline," Ann exclaimed. Ann now bit her lip, she hadn't been there in years. Maybe she could tag along, visit her older sister Katie. "Mind if I tag along?"
Mia raised an eyebrow, Winery was already tagging along because of Zack but, why would Ann? "I guess," she said. "Not sure how much fun it's going to be listening to a 3 year old talk about finger painting and the alphabet though."
"It'll just be nice to see everyone again," Ann smiled, not wanting to let on she wanted to see how everyone was doing, especially Jackie.
Thirty minutes later Ann found herself walking through a portal Mia had formed. The witchling now found herself with Zack, Winery, Akira, Rexie and Ayami as they gazed at the Harris family home. "Wow you're getting real good with that spell Mia," Zack said in awe.
"Thanks," Mia smiled. "Considering how often we see Yuki Ove been practicing, which reminds me you might want to change."
Zack nodded, his body growing in size as dark fur covered his body. In seconds a very large werewolf stood before the group. "Zack are you sure its wise to assume your Lycan form," Winery asked, placing her hands on her hips.
"Oh this," Zack growled, gesturing to himself. "This is only step one. I'm not done changing yet."
Winery now watched as Zack's face appeared to strain. The hulking werewolf doubling over, his bones shifting and popping as he stood on all fours. Now instead of a werewolf, a large black wolf stood gazing at the Harris home.
"Zack," Winery gasped. "Assuming animal form? Why would you do that? You know Lycans cannot talk when we assume animal form. In fact we rarely do so now. Its so....undignified!"
"Maybe," Mia smirked. "But Yuki loves dogs and right now Zack is the biggest, fluffiest dog she knows."
Winery scoffed, throwing her nose in the air. Lycans treated like common house pets, she would have to have a serious talk with her boyfriend when this was over.
"You know," Mia said coyly. "Zack listens to Yuki very carefully. Shes a great judge of character. You probably want to get on her good side if your going to date Zack."
"What's that supposed to mean," Winery asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I think Mia is suggesting you assume animal form as well," Ayami stated. "Trust me when I say this. Being on that 3 year olds bad side is the quickest way to get Zack to dump you."
Winery's jaw dropped, assuming animal form for her was like asking a royal to shop at Walmart. Gazing at her companions Winery sighed, if she was going to be serious with Zack sacrifices wouldnhave to be made.
Winery grunted in annoyance as she began to shift forms. The pretty teens body growing in size, her face pushing out in a muzzle, as snow white fur covered her body. The werewolf princess now sighed as she glared at Mia. "If you try to have me fetch Mia I'll stuff you in a locker."
"Promise Mia no fetching," Mia smirked. Winery sighed, the werewolf could feel her cheeks flushing in embarrassment despite the fur covering them. Grunting the werewolf now began to shift once more, her bones popping as she fell onto all fours. As her transformation finished, the snow white wolf looked up giving Mia a sheepish look.
"Aww whose a good puppy? Whose a good puppy," Rexie cooed, teasingly trying to scratch Winery behind the ears. Winery emitted a low growl, baring her teeth as Akira snatched the imp up by the scruff of her neck. "I think you've caused enough trouble today imp," he warned. "Tread carefully."
Mia stifled a laugh, watching as Winery hung her head in embarrassment. It was odd watching the usually confident princess feel vulnerable. Obviously Zack could sense it as well, the black wolf nuzzling against her as a show of support. Knocking on the door the group now waited for an answer, smiling as Cole Harris answered.
"Mia, Zack," he smiled, scanning the group. "And it looks like you've brought everyone. How you been Akira?"
"I have been well Sgt. Harris," Akira stated. Cole simply chuckled, shaking his head as he looked the kitsune. "You know you can call me Cole Akira. No need to be so formal."
"I've been telling him that for years," Ayami groaned. "Trust me, he's too stubborn to listen."
"Daddy is dat dem?"
Cole and the others now turned, seeing the tiny 3 year old Yuriko peak out from around the corner. Mia couldn't help but smile as she looked at the tiny girl adorned in a dress with two pigtails. "Hey Yuki," she said.
Yuki waved, a toothy grin spreading across her face. As she stepped closer, she gasped as she now pointed at Zack and Winery.
"You have TWO puppies!"
Yuriko squealed, sprinting forward as she now hugged the two wolves heads in a bear hug. "Cmon puppies I have treats for you," Yuriko said sweetly as she now grabbed the two wolves by the scruff.
Mia smirked, seeing a worried expression spread across Winery's face. She knew the girl wouldn't hurt them. For now, she would just enjoy a nice afternoon catching up with Yuki.
