As if by fate, Lindsey happened to notice a particular red head heading in their direction.
"Shit, don't look now." Lindsey whispered.
Of course, Marco was curious, so turned to see a freshman guy walking towards them. Marco knew this kid a bit, usually because he thought he was a funny guy. Marco had repeatedly told him to buzz off in the past when he got too annoying, so he began to prepare for a confrontation when he recalled his situation. He was a younger girl, which meant that he probably wasn't going to be fighting anyone.
"Maria!" He called, moving past a larger group of students to stop Marco and Lindsey in their tracks.
"Ugh, what do you want Phil." Lindsey sneered. "Me and my bestie have to get to class soon, and you don't have it."
"I just wanna talk to my girlfriend Lindsey, butt out." He snapped back.
Marco felt nothing but irritated. He had thought before that he had just guessed Lindsey's name from overhearing it, but now it was clear that he had remembered it. "When I'm changed like this, I can remember certain things I guess." He thought.
That meant that Marco had all his old memories of Phil being an annoying brat, and a few new ones of Phil making "Maria" cry over forgetting some big time relationship milestone. Either way, Marco wanted nothing to do with this loser.
"God, what die girl me see in this guy?" he wondered.
"Listen Phil, I don't wanna talk right now." Marco hissed.
"Come on babe please-" He began, but Marco just ghosted him, walking right by him with Lindsey in tow.
Once Phil was out of earshot, Lindsey turned towards Marco with a huge grin on her face.
"Damn girl, that was slick... not like you." She teased.
"Oh you know, just doing what I need to." Marco shrugged. He didn't want to admit it, but he had used some techniques that he'd seen Kelly use in the past. "Come on, let's get to Earth Science." He added, flipping his hair back.
"I guess while I wait to be turned back to normal I might as well play it off and try to have fun with this." Marco thought, grinning a little as they approached their classroom.
