Kelly sat in the crib, shocked by what had happened. As she sat, she could feel growing pressure in her abdomen. She had to poop. Quickly, she got to her feet, hoping to flag down one of the daycare workers tucking toddlers into cribs. A daycare worker noticed her and came over.
“Someone’s missing their binky, huh?” the daycare worker cooed. She popped a pacifier into Kelly’s mouth. “Sleep well, sweetie!” Before Kelly could say what she really wanted, the daycare worker walked away. Someone turned the lights off and closed the door.
Kelly sat back down in the crib, squirming nervously. She wouldn’t be able to hold it in until naptime was over. She had gotten so caught up in having fun at daycare that she hadn’t noticed a growing need to use the toilet.
Trying to ignore the building urge to go, Kelly examined her crib, looking for a way to get down. Surely, there was a toilet she could use somewhere. To her relief, she figured out the mechanism to make the side of the crib go down. She quickly climbed down from the crib. Her movement hampered by her diaper, she toddled around the room, looking for some sort of toilet. At this point, she would accept a toddler training potty.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything she could use as a toilet. Furious at the indignity of what was now inevitable, Kelly decided to use her diaper on purpose. It’s not like she would be able to hold it in long enough to find a toilet, after all. Kelly bent her knees into a squat and pushed. She was unnerved by how easily she was able to use her diaper. Right away, her bowels emptied, closely followed by her bladder, which she hadn’t intended on.
Kelly straightened. Her diaper now sagged visibly under her and smelled. And while it was almost pleasantly warm at the moment, it would get uncomfortably clammy soon. What now?
