April, Bets, Chasity and Diane managed to squeeze through the doors as the bus stopped at the mall. April and Chasity had an easier time of it, as the two girls were the smallest at 350 an 360 lbs each, but the 420 lbs Diane had to take a deep breath and force her way out, and Bets (who weighted a staggering 580 lbs!) had to inch through sideways, her elephantine hips now far wider than the doors of the bus. She found that once she was outside she could move slightly more easily.
As they walked towards the doors, they caught their reflections and were immediately flabbergasted. Bets had it the worst already with her prodigious size, but as if to rub salt in the wound her hair had been done up in a cotton candy pink beehive, and her face was absolutely caked with garish and gaudy makeup. To top it off like a cherry on her misery sundae, she was wearing a bright pink mu-mu dotted with yellow daisies.
The other girls didn’t have it much better. All of them had thick foundation, blush, lipstick, mascara and eyeshadow that made them all look like grandmas who were desperately clinging onto whatever delusion of youth they had left. Diane's once long, brown hair was now a wild, orange afro and her clothes had become a bright red mu-mu speckled with orange dots. A yellow head band made sure her hair was fluffed up and out, making her look even more bizarre. April wore a lime green mu-mu with yellow vertical stripes and her hair had been transformed into a lemon yellow bouffant. Chastity was clad in a purple mu-mu with pink bows printed on it, and her hair was now purple and bound in twin pigtails decorated with pink bows.
They looked like they could be clowns from a retirement village, not teenagers! To say that they looked ridiculous would be a massive understatement.
Bets took a deep, labored breath. “Okay ladies. Here’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to walk in, find that fat jackass who turned us into fat blobs, and make him change us back to normal.”
“Count of three?” April asked.
“Two,” Chastity counted down.
“One!” Diane announced as they waddled inside.
What met their eyes weren’t the stores they had come to love and recognize, but a wide array of new stores none of them had ever seen before. Most of them seemed to be clothing stores, but each store was named for styles and archetypes rather than brands or anything. They could see stores labeled things like “Pop-Star”, “Country Girl”, “Gamer”, “Nerds and Geeks”, and many more. Topping it off, almost everyone inside we’re as fat as they were, no matter if they were men or women.
“Guys,” Bets declared, “new plan. Let’s change out of these stupid dresses and into something fashionable first. Then we can go look for the fat guy who did this...”
