Giddily Claire sent a text message to Kim, thanking and telling her to come over. Afterwards the now petite woman went about examining her now larger apartment.
Taking a seat on her couch, Claire was shocked to see her feet barely grazed the floor from her seated position. As someone who had been so tall throughout her life it was truely absurreal experience. Claire's couch now seemed gigantic, her feet coming nowhere near touching the the otherside, whilenher blanket practically engulfed the woman.
"Wow and I thought this old blanket was small," she said in awe. Throwing the now larger blanket off her, Claure decided to head to the kitchen. Once there Claire discovered the downside of her new shorter stature.
Gazing up at her fridge, Claire's jaw dropped. The woman usually was able to see the top of the fridge without an issue. Now she realized it would have to stretch just to reach the freezer. Pulling open the freezer, Claire was astounded as she had to reach up to get anything out. Standing on tiptoe Claire quickly realized that without a step stool she qouldnt be able to reach the back of the freezer. Still, the novelty of her reduced stature caused the woman to giggle.
Thankfully Claire had placed a bottle of wine on the counter. This too was surreal. The counter usually rested thigh high to the woman, now the counter rested just below her chest. Glancing upwards Claire realized even trying to reach the glasses would require a bit of effort. Standing on tiptoe the woman now had to stretch, finding her wine glass was just out if reach. Sighing she now looked at the counter shrugging.
Claire now found herself clamoring onto the counter, kneeling on it as she retrieved a glass. "I dont think I've done this since I was a kid," she thought. "Is this what short people have to do all the time?"
Grabbing her glass, Claire now hopped down, surprised to find the glass felt awkward in her now smaller hand. Realizing that trying to fill her glass per usual would get her drunker than she wished, she now filled it maybe half way. Taking a sip, she now savored the red wine. "You know," she mused. "If I stay like this I'll probably save a fortune on wine."
Claire now began to think about what it would be like to remain this small. Obviously she would need a new wardrobe. A smirk now spread across her face. What would her old clothes look on her now?
Running for her room, Claire could see things seemed relatively unchanged. The king sized bed still stood while her dresser stretched along the wall. Approaching the dresser, she could t help but chuckle at the mirror on her dresser. Usually she needed to bend down to see her face. Now though Claire could see that her reflection was only visible from the chest up. "I gotta check out my wardrobe," she laughed.
Throwing open her closet, Claire expected to see her work clothes, clothes that would be make the woman look like a little girl playing dressup. Gazing at her outfits, Ckaire raised an eyebrow.
It was still her clothes but instead of them being their usual size, they now appeared sized for her current height. Curiously she now pulled out a couple of business suits to try on.
Claire was shocked, every outfit she pulled out fit her perfectly. Suits, jackets, blouses, even her shoes fit the woman perfectly. Confused she now checked her dresser, pulling out bras, panties, even old tshirts. Once more she was astounded, all fit the woman perfectly. It was like she had always been this size.
"Why did my clothes change but nothing else," she wondered. Claire now sat down on her bed, a small smile spreading across her face as she realized her feet didnt touch the floor from her seated position. Whatever this magic was it seemed to affect somethings but not others. The woman now wondered if anything else had changed as well.
