"Huh, why not." She shrugged, placing it on her left hand.
Stacy started back on her walk to practice when her cell rung from inside her bag. She pulled it out and sighed.
"Great, a call from Mom." She mumbled before answering.
"Hey Ma." She answered, forcing a new chipper tone in her voice. "How's your day going?" She asked.
Her mother had originally been having a good, but as soon as Stacy asked her reality changed so that it was the exact opposite.
"Ugh, Terrible Stacy. I got a parking ticket, had to clean out the break station at work, AND now I have a work meeting that I am totally unprepared for." She complained. "You should know this I already told you before!"
"Oh shit." Stacy mumbled. Why had she asked such a dumb question? Her mother definitely told her about it before... what's going on with her today?
"You know what? I don't want to deal with your hormonal teenie bop drama today." Her mom scolded. "Clearly you're too distracted with whatever else is going on with your so stressful life." Her mother sneered.
Stacy was LIVID. Her mother had been having a bad couple of days, but that's no reason to talk like that to her!
"Whatever Mom! I'm sorry..."
