At the start of any school year new students arrived. On Jennifer's first day of year 9 she had quite a shock.
One of the new girls in her class was her doppelganger!
The new girl's name was Molly. Everybody immediately recognised the similarity between the two girls. This was despite Jennifer being a girly girl with long blonde hair and Molly having a pixie cut, purple hair and a nose ring. The teacher nominated Jennifer to be Molly's buddy, which meant that Jennifer was meant to be Molly's friend and ease her into school life. Jennifer being the "Good girl" took this job seriously.
It was eerie looking at Molly's face. If Jennifer ignored the nose ring and hair, it was like looking in a mirror. They had identical bright blue eyes and they even sounded alike.
At morning tea and lunch Molly told a little of her history. She came from the same town where Jennifer had been born but had left when she was a toddler. Molly also sounded a bit of a rebel. She had been sent to the boarding school after been expelled from two schools in her home town. Unlike Jennifer, Molly had trouble accepting authority. She wanted to know how to sneak out of the dormitory at night and what the nearby town was like. Jennifer had no idea. She had never even thought about sneaking out of the school. At 14 Jennifer had never knowingly broken a rule in her life.
