The next week proved to be a whirlwind for Darren. With Crystal discovering her latent magical ancestry, Dareen now found himself joining her for magic practice with Yuriko. Couple that with Misaki's training and the teen found himself worn out.
As Darren now found himself waking up on a Saturday, he was looking forward to a quiet day hanging out with Hannah. Showering and dressing, Darren made his way to Hannah's home finding the shapeshifting girl in her robotic monkey form. "Hey Darren what's up?"
Darren shrugged, entering the house. Soon enough the two found themselves digging through the cupboards looking for snacks. "You know you used to have better snacks around," Darren grumbled.
"Yeah and I also used to be human," Hannah retorted. "In case you forgot, I'm a Soul Drive, cyborg, human hybrid now. Considering everyone here is robotic doeant mean we have alot of food options. My folks are saving a ton on the grocery bill though."
Darren to tinued to grumble, fi ally settling on a bag of chips. As the two now made their way to the living room, Hannah studied him carefully. "Well you certainly have alot on your mind."
"No I dont," Darren countered.
Hannah scoffed, the monkey gynoid shifting into human form. Hannah's plastic skin becoming flesh while her green fur retracted once more into her skin. Now human once more, Hannah tied her long blonde hair in a ponytail before pushing up her glasses. "Got a feeling I know what's up."
"So how come your human again," Darren asked. "And what makes you so certain you know what's up?"
"Few reasons," Hannah stated. "One, when I'm in gynoid or cyborg form I can analyze your vitals. Your blood pressure has increased recently. Your body chemistry is off too, all physical symptoms of stress. Plus, I've known you since we were in preschool. I recognize the scowly face. You always have it when you cant make a decision."
"Okay but why did you turn human?"
"Because human beings find it easier to talk with other humans," Hannah stated. "And since I've been reading alot of psych stuff recently, figured I could be your own personal therapist."
"Paych stuff," Darren asked.
"Hey I'm a Soul Drive," Hannah shrugged. "Studying basic psychology and downloading it into my memory banks was as easy as downloading an app."
"I dont think I can ever get over that Hannah," Darren chuckled. "But screw it let's roll with it. What do you think is the problem?"
"Its two problems," Hannah stated. "Namely Crystal and Misaki."
Darren blushed, squirming slightly at Hannah's answer. The human, gynoid was per usual right on the money. "What do Crystal and Misaki have to do with anything?"
Hannah now scooted closer, lowering her glasses so she could look Darren in the eye. "Crustal has been your dream girl forever," she started. "And now that she discovered shes magical too, it gives you all the time you ever wanted to talk with her."
"Okay true," Darren conceded.
"The problem," Hannah stated. "Is that you've gotten to known Misaki really well. Crystal may look like your dream girl but Misaki has the personality. Shes everything you ever wanted in a girl."
"Well I mean shes really cool," Darren said. "And easy to talk to, and funny. Plus we have alot in common."
"And she likes you," Hannah added. "And you like her. The problem is Crystal is starting to like you also. Sure shes dating Bob, even got him to start going by Robbie but she likes the idea that your done all poweful magic god or something."
"So two girls like me," Darren smiled. "That doeant seem so bad."
"Except," Hannah stated. "Your torn over who you like more. Crystal has the looks, Misaki has everything else. You like them both and you cant decide on who you like more. All I can tell is you cant decide which one you want to be a girlfriend."
Darren nodded, Hannah says right per usual. "How the hell do you know me like this," he groaned.
"Its a gift," Hannah grinned. "Listen, know it sucks but hey it could be worse. Bet you never thought you would have a girlfriend ever."
Darren nodded, he thought he wouldnt ever have a girlfriend. "So now what?"
"Your call," Hannah said. "Just dont do anything stupid like merge them together. Pretty sure you would piss off the fairies and the kitsune if you did that."
Darren laughed, promising he wouldnt as the two friends now sat back and began to watch T.V. The teen had gone from just another teenage boy to an all powerful Catalyst that would change the world. Now he had to decide something he never thought possible, which girl to choose the fairy or the kitsune.
