Mina told you that back in the real world she was Major Mina van Doom
who had been involved in military VR enhanced weapons research decades earlier.
You weren't buying that so she openned one of the grocery stores freezer doors and what should have been a sight of frozen flavours of icecream
actually showed a 1980s type computer interface
with what to you looked like archaic junk.
Mina ignored your disbelieving look and
turned a few knobs here and there, tapped away at a few keys on the old fashioned keyboard in what
should have been a freezer full of icecream and
tut tutted as your claws melted away back into a more human form
albeit that of a girl more to Mina van Dooms liking.
Now that she had your rapt attention she openned another freezer door and what should have been a freezer full of frozen bags of vegetables was instead a window
into the real world and revealed a middle aged woman in a wheelchair, apparently not seeing you on the other
side of that 'window'
With a shock you realized the woman in the wheelchair was a older verion of
Mina.
Mina explained that in the real world she'd been experimenting with a top secret
VR weapons prototype decades earlier and there had been a accident that had separated her still active mind from her scarred body.
So while in the real world Major Mina van Doom was a comatose accident victim stuck in a wheelchair in some
Naval Military Hospital her mind was stuck in the VR weapons platform in here with you in a VR supermarket.
Mina patiently waited for you to connect the dots and figure out just
what the Ultimate VR Game was capable of.
Bright kid that you were you looked between VR Mina and disabled Major Mina van Doom, whose
wheelchair was getting rolled out of your view by a military
hospital nurse.
"Weapons Platform?" you said as you imagined just what weapons this software might be capable of activating
"Yup" said Mina
"theres a remote controlled submarine with live mutagenic warhead missiles near Atol Pantalon that the software currently has control over" she said
