As the light faded and Christina opened her eyes she found that she had not been transported to some fantastical alternate reality but instead was stood in a quirky but ordinary looking shop. It certainly wasn't one she either recognised or would have any business visiting though.
The place had an old fashioned look about it, although it was clean and had been meticulously kept. As far as Christina could see she was the only customer in the shop. Behind the counter an older looking woman dressed in black gazed up from a large, black book and smiled briefly at her customer before returning to whatever it was she was reading. Christina noted that the letters on the cover of the tome were from an alphabet she had never seen before.
Christina walked cautiously around the store and quickly realised this was a magic shop. That made sense, as far as any of this could, as she knew one of the main story branches in CYOC was devoted to that setting. Did that mean the products in this shop actually worked?
The shop was stocked with all kinds of traditional looking goods. There was a case of spellbooks conveniently translated into English and rows of potions with, rather unhelpfully, vague names or pictures on their labels rather than descripions on of what they were for. There were all manner of trinkets and jewellery that could be worn, a variety of wands of different shapes and sizes, a row of masks and costumes and much more.
She would need to be cautious around any of this stuff, but she figured it couldn't hurt to look.
