"Maybe it's not so bad..." Nick thought to himself as he looked over the massive set of weights in his living room. If anything he'd just gotten the deal of a life time. And if this company was just going to let him keep it, should he really complain? After all he did try to return it. He shrugged his shoulders, removing any blame from himself.
However, a text from one of his friends got him to sit back up. 'Hey. Where are you? Cain's getting worried you forgot.'
"Shit!" Nick shouted. He slammed his hand on the desk. It was Cain's birthday. Somehow Nick had completely lost track of time. "Shit. Shit. Shit." He was going to just go pick something up beforehand, but he was already late. 'C. C. Helios.' They had been so quick with delivery, maybe they could deliver it to Cain's house by the time he could get there. "Only one way to find out."
Looking at the site, they had just about anything anyone could ever want. He knew exactly what he was going to get Cain. The guy had recently become obsessed with D&D and had his eyes set on a very specific set of dice. He was always complaining about how expensive they were, but C. C. Helios seemed to have them marked down significantly. Nick quickly placed the order and changed the address to Cain's house instead of his.
'Delivery time estimation: 30 minutes.'
"Sweet!" Nick quickly went to his phone and texted, 'be there in about 30 min. Had to pick up some alcohol to make it a real party!'
'Sure you did... Just be here soon.'
Nick ignored the passive aggressive nature of the text and just drove to the local corner market and picked up some good alcohol. His next stop was Cain's house. And right outside was the same deliveryman who'd dropped off his weights. "Just sign here," the delivery man said, then handed Nick his package.
