The update finished and Lyle got out of the shower in which he had continued probing his new body, no doubt. His excuse was that he needed to clean the cum off of his body.
“Okay, you’re all cleaned up, now put the helmet on so we can switch back. I don’t want to spend my life trapped in a body that’s dating my little brother,” said Gregg, impatiently.
“Fine, fine. But just so you know I’ve had a lot of fun in your body, and I think it’s a shame you wasted your opportunity to explore mine,” said Lyle, sitting on the couch and putting on the vr helmet again. He was out like a light.
Gregg then put on his helmet and they were instantly together in the waiting room.
“Alright, so how did you get this thing to upload you into my body? And why doesn’t this darn thing have a safety precaution for that??” Asked Gregg.
“All I did was think your name over and over again and then had the computer log me out. Tell the computer to set a log out timer,” said Lyle, truthfully.
“Okay. Computer, log me out in one minute,” said Gregg, “Greggory Lowel, Greggory Lowel, Greggory Lowel.” Gregg repeated this until the minute was up, focusing on the body that was rightfully his.
The log out happened but Gregg went back into Lyle’s body. “What the fuck!” Exclaimed Gregg. He quickly put on the helmet again.
“What happened?” Asked Lyle.
“The damned thing put me in your body again, it thinks that’s my body!” Shouted Gregg.
“Calm down, let’s ask what happened. Computer, how do we get uploaded into different bodies than we were downloaded from?” Asked Lyle.
“Impossible. Lightbulb Lab does not allow users to exchange corporeal forms in the real world. The latest update further ensured that policy,” responded the AI.
“Well your program fucked up, computer. It now thinks that I’m Lyle Cross, when I’m Greggory Lowel!” Yelled Gregg.
“This does not compute. I have not been informed of any such mistake. Please convey your complaint to customer service,” said the AI.
The two men logged out, Gregg was back in Lyle’s body, and Lyle back in Gregg’s in the real world.
