"Oh, like, I didn't even see these!" The Brunette suddenly exclaimed, shocking Mandy out of her own head.
"Huh?" Mandy asked. She glanced over to see the girl was pointing at some multicolored bracelets that the store sold. "Yes, those are for sale." Mandy replied.
"OOO, they're totes cute... hmm, but like which one..." She wondered.
"Do you need any suggestions miss...?" Mandy asked.
"Mikayla. And no, ma am, I'm like, good." She smirked, looking back down through the bracelets.
Mandy's eyes narrowed, but she continued to stand silently. The way this girl emphasized the ma am made it clear that she didn't want her advice because of her age.
"I'm not some old crone!" She thought. "I have years of fun ahead of me still." She attempted to convince herself.
Mandy then remembered the app on that boys phone. As Mikayla was taking her time, Mandy figured she may as well mess around with it for the moment. She opened it again, and was surprised by the layout. There were icons scattered across the screen, but they seemed to be in the same positions of the people in the room. There was even an icon in a separate room to the left, exactly where Ty would be at the moment.
"Huh, weird... then, if this is lined up with us then this would be her." She thought, selecting Mikayla's icon, generating a sentence.
"18 year old Mikayla is looking at bracelets." It read.
"What the hell, it knew her name?" Mandy thought confused. Not only that but the age seemed to be close as well, if not correct. "Well, she doesn't deserve to be 18, youth is often waisted on the young." She thought with a scoff. She quickly changed 18 to 45, far older than Mandy's 30.
Mandy smirked at the phone, thinking it was a harmless little joke only to herself. However, upon looking up, her jaw dropped. Standing in front of her was no longer an 18 year old girl, but a middle aged woman! She had long brown hair but was showing signs of graying. Her breasts were larger than the girls but a bit puffy and slightly sagging. Her ass was MASSIVE, and was barely held in the pair of mom jeans, while her blouse seemed like it was bought at some Macy's rather then a hipper store like the one they were in.
"M-Mikayla?" Mandy asked in disbelief.
"Oh sorry Mandy, I got lost inn thought there." She chuckled. "Anyway, can you help me pick a bracelet? I think my daughter may like it, but you know here, always so picky." She smiled.
"You, know me?" Mandy asked, still not fully believing what was happening.
"Well of course hun! We've known each other for years? You pulling my leg?" She asked jokingly.
Mandy couldn't believe it. She may have been much older, but this woman was clearly the same person as the girl from before. Somehow, by using that app, Mandy had transformed her completely! Mandy glanced around at the others on line, and was amazed to see neither of them were acting as if anything had happened!
"This thing altered the world... and only I seem to notice." She thought to herself. "And this poor girl thinks she's always known me... well I don't want to look crazy. I'll play along for now."
"Oh, yeah. Sorry. Just messing with ya!" She lied. "A-anyway, I think she'll like this one." Mandy replied, handing her a random bracelet without even looking.
"Thanks Mandy! Ugh, you're a life saver." Mikayla replied as she handed money over to her.
Mandy placed the money away, and gave her a brief smile. As she turned however, the smile vanished fully. What had she done! She hadn't meant to actually transform anyone! She had just stolen decades of this woman's life because her tone was slightly condescending? Mandy needed to change her back, but should she? What if the app was like a monkey's paw situation and her attempts to fix her only make it worse? Mikayla seems to know her now, so should she wait?
"Maybe I should experiment on myself, or the store or...." Mandy's mind raced as she noticed Mikayla was about to leave the store. If she was gonna make a choice it had to be now.
