Mandy wasn't sure when the next time she'd see Mikayla was. It seemed like the brunette knew her in whatever version of reality this was, but that didn't mean much. It could just be Mikayla shopped here for her daughter regularly. A daughter she shouldn't even have yet.
Then there was the fact this phone wasn't really hers. Ty knew she had that boy's phone, and she'd have a hard time trying to hold onto it if he came back. It was a real possibility that if Mikayla left she'd be stuck as a 45 year old.
"Mandy is near a person by the counter." Was the prompt Mandy managed to generate. It was vague, but Mikayla was already turning to leave. Mandy didn't want to involve any of the other customers or Ty, so she acted quickly. She replaced "person" with "teenager" hoping Mikayla would be close to normal with the limits.
"Hey Mandy, did that..." She heard Ty behind her just as she confirmed the change.
She saw a version of Ty she hadn't in years. He looked just like he had when she met him their freshmen year of college. Her husband was once again an 18 year old.
