Kyle was a scrawny nerdy high school senior. He was close to graduation and, other than his good grades, he had nothing to show for it. He had no friends, a wimpy body, certainly no prospects for girlfriends. He didn't even know how he ended up in this strange shop; he was at the shopping mall looking to buy DND figurines when he all of a sudden felt drawn to this shoe store. Almost against his will he entered, and the helpful clerk explained the magic properties of the shoes.
Kyle gulped when the salesman was finally done speaking. "Well, sir, look around! If you find any shoe catches your eye, you are free to try it on. Remember, you can try out that person's life for 24 hours before you decide!". Kyle laughed at the salesman; "Excuse me? This has to be a joke, I'm not that stupid. Magic isn't real!". The salesman gave Kyle a deadly serious look; "I assure you, sir, this is no joke. Please look around, I guarantee there is something for everyone here!".
Kyle still thought it was a joke, but he remembered the almost supernatural pull when he was outside. "Well..." he said to himself. The salesman was correct, there was no harm in trying at least!
Kyle lazily walked up and down the aisles. He was amazed at the sheer amount and variety of shoes. There were men's and women's shoes, little kids shoes, dirty and well worn shoes, shoes and boots from different professions, athletic shoes! There were so many options. And just like the magnetic attraction he felt when he was drawn into this store, he felt a similar pull lead him to a specific pair of shoes. He felt something jump inside of him when he laid his eyes on the pair of shoes. His heart jumped as he walked over to examine the pair.....
