The Magic Shop

From Shopping Mall to Nightclub

The four cheerleaders continued their way to the food court where they sat down at a table and began gossiping as usual. However, just as Gabby was about to get up and order food for them her hand brushed past her purse, knocking the camera out of it.

“Oh shoo-” was all the cheer captain was able to get out, before the camera hit the ground, capturing the entire mall.

*FLASH*

“Ugh,” Gavin murmured as he clutched his head. “Where are we? Weren’t we just in the mall?” He vaguely remembered.

“The mall? You can’t be that drunk already, can you?” Gavin’s friend Justin replied. “Bro, we’re about to go party it up at this new nightclub!” Reminding his friend why they came.

Gabby’s accidental picture had transformed the entire mall into a brand new nightclub with mall patrons transforming into young, party-loving, nightclub goers. As such, cheerleaders Gabby and Jummi were transformed into Gavin and Justin, two college bros having a night out.

“That’s right, I remember now,” Gavin said, having completely forgotten his old life as Gabby. “Didn’t this place just open up too?”

“Yeah, just this past month, I think.” Answered Justin. “Hey, reckon I’d be able to find a girlfriend here tonight?”

“I think Hell has a better chance of freezing over than you finding a girl here tonight, Justin.”

“Alright,” a deep voice bellowed from behind the two. “You two can enter now.”

Gavin and Justin turned to find the voice came from the big, burly bouncer standing guard at the entrance with his massive arms crossed. The college men made sure to enter quickly so as not to annoy him any further.

“Cool, thanks, uh… Emmet.” Justin said, pausing for a moment to read the bouncer’s name tag.

Emmet gave them a stern look before saying “No funny business or you two are out, you hear?”

Gavin gave him a knowing look and the two entered where they were met by the flashing strobe lights and loud trap music. The dance floor was absolutely packed with various handsome men and sexy women dancing away. There were other groups mingling away in booths and tables up against the walls.

“Damn this place is packed!” exclaimed Gavin. “Where do we even begin!?”

“Let’s stop by the bar first. Gotta loosen up a bit before we start the partying.” Justin suggested. The two made their way over where they were greeted by the bartender, a blonde woman wearing a low cut black top with a cleaning rag draped over her shoulder.

“What can I get you two gentlemen to drink?” She asked.

“Hey there, good lookin'. We’ll just have two beers, thanks.” Justin requested, turning on what he called “the charm”.

The bartender complied and pulled two beers out of the fridge behind her, while Justin paid.

“Thanks again hot stuff,” Justin said, grabbing the beers. “You got a name?”

“It’s Tara. And if you’re trying to woo me, I’m not interested.” She stated, shooting down any hope Justin had.

“See? I told you.” Gavin remarked as he took a sip of his drink, referencing his earlier joke.

“Well, I don’t see you doing any better.” Justin quipped back. “Let’s see you try and pick up a girl then?”

“Alright, how about…” Gavin surveyed the room, looking for potential scores before his eyes settled on two ladies near a corner. A redhead wearing a stunning black dress and what looked to be her raven-haired friend wearing an eye-catching purple dress.

“...See those two girls over there?” Gavin pointed to the girls for Justin to see. “I’ll take the red one, you take the one in purple. First one to get her number is the winner.”

The two motioned their way over to the ladies and it didn’t take long for Justin to make a move.

“Hey ladies. Are you a bank loan? ‘Cause you certainly got my interest.” He joked.

“Wow. Haven’t heard that one before.” the black-haired girl remarked, unamused.

“Sorry about my friend Justin, he’s not the smoothest when it comes to women,” Gavin said, attempting to salvage the conversation. “I’m Gavin by the way.”

“I’m Rebecca,” The redhead introduced herself. “Don’t get too worried about my friend Alexis, she takes jokes a bit too seriously sometimes.”

"Hey! I'm not that stuck up!" Alexis whined back.

“All good. I must say you look absolutely stunning in that dress of yours.” Gavin admired Rebecca’s beauty, noticing how her curves filled out her dress perfectly.

“Thank you,” Rebecca blushed. “You’re quite good looking yourself.”

The four continued to hit it off, drinking and chatting late into the night. However, something caught the eye of Justin in Rebecca’s purse. Something vaguely familiar.

“Hey, Rebecca. If you don’t mind me asking, what’s that sticking out of your purse there.” He asked.

“Oh, this?” She replied, taking the object out of her purse. “It was some camera we found on the ground here at the club.”

“A bit strange too given how antique it looks.” Alexis chimed in.

“I’ve got an idea, why don’t we take some photos ourselves? A little something to remember tonight?” Gavin suggested.

“I suppose we could. Who wants to go first?” Rebecca queried.
