A quick text to Eric and your friends that you got a ride and are going home and you were out the door. Your mind was racing and being surrounded by others wasn't what you wanted.
You had been to the mall hundreds of times and knew the way back home. Walking would take time but it would be faster than waiting for Eric's mom and would give you a chance to sort some of this stuff out.
You don't want to swap lives, roles, traits or whatever with anyone... Your life isn't perfect, but its yours. You can possibly swap places with a classmate from school. Maybe a teacher... wait, eww, no...
It would be interesting to be part of a family with both parents, you ponder thinking of your life with your father after your mother died. After 45 minutes or so you get home and find the house empty, you let yourself in through the garage and quickly make your way to your bedroom to look at the thing you were practically forced to purchase.
Much to your surprise there was a normal piece of paper with instructions along with the scroll. The scroll had a single line of gibberish and the instructions had a phonetic spelling along with a reminder of how to use the scroll and a rough timeline of what to expect. It went into much more detail and basically explained that the spell will complete over a few days and once initiated the effects will begin to be noticed within an hour or two. The changes begin with basic lifestyle choices and habits such as morning coffee, tea, pop, milk, water, or juice and will then begin working into physical changes, social differences, and everything else simultaneously. "Reality will be flexible so just act as you feel inclined to and you'll be fine." You reread that several times, wondering what that was supposed to mean.
You went back to the 27 syllable phonetic pronunciation and felt that you could do the spell if you could just decide who to do it to and get an adequate reagent from them.
