"Hang on," Amy said. "I've got to get some more stuff first."
"I think you've done more than enough today," Lina said, grabbing one of her stretched hoof-hands and pulling her down the aisle.
"No, seriously!" Amy said. "I need something to hold my breasts in. My bra broke, and...well, this shirt barely fits now anyway. Plus," she said, gesturing towards her furry legs, "My pants tore into pieces when I grew out of them." She slipped her hand out from Lina's grip and clopped away, in search of a clothing aisle. Lina shook her head, trying to get a grip on what happened to her friend. She knew she had to go after her and keep her from getting in any more trouble.
She found Amy a few aisles over, inspecting a very big pair of brown shorts. "Kinda trendy, right? And look!" she poked a hoof-tipped finger through a round hole sewn in the seat. "It's made for tails!" She leafed through a rack of undergarments and pulled out a bra. This bra, however, was odd in that it had two rows of cups instead of one. "Neeigghoo, not quite," Amy muttered. She pulled out a few more, one with six cups and one with eight! She and Lina gawked at these for a second before Amy tossed them aside. Next, she seemed to find a winner. The more normal two-cup bra was pure white and had double the straps going around, probably to brace against her larger breasts and frame.
"Hey, could you hold my shoes?"
Amy tossed her shoes--with socks stuffed inside--at Lina, who winced as one of them hit her in the jaw. "Amy, seriously, the only thing you should be looking for is a way to change back!"
She quickly found a replacement t-shirt, a white shirt that she quickly threw on atop her new bra. It fit her frame better but still left some of her toned midriff showing.
Amy quickly shimmied into the brown shorts, pulling her tail through the hole in the rear, smirking as she saw how her new ass filled the shorts out.
She looked through the clothing and quickly picked out a few more pairs of shorts, a couple skirts, a few more bras, and some t-shirts.
"This should do for now." She said contentedly.
Amy turned to her friend, draping her new clothes over an arm. She sighed at the look on her friend's face, which really sounded more like an annoyed chuffing. "Okay, if you want," she said laboriously. "I'll ask the guy at the front counter when we go to buy these, okay?"
At the front desk, the old bearded man smiled as he saw the two girls approach. "Well now, it looks like someone's been having fun."
"I sure have," Amy said, giving him a big blocky-toothed grin. "But there's a couple things I need besides the clothes I'm wearing and these things," she put her fur brush and extra clothing on the counter. As the man rang them up on an old cash register, he acknowledged her statement by going "Hmm?"
"My friend here wants to know if there's any way I could change back," Amy said. "But honestly, I don't care how long I have to stay like this. Do you have anything that could, I don't know, temporarily change me back to human?"
The man scrunched his brow in thought. "I do have stuff than can turn you back sure. All the way, part of the way, temporarily, permanently, you name it! But I think I know what you have in mind. You obviously like your new form, and I'd hate to sell a reversal spell to such a satisfied customer."
"How about an enchanted item that can help you out as is? It just so happens I keep a number of trinkets behind the desk here in case of a situation like yours." He ducked down below the counter for a minute and Amy heard the shuffling of boxes and drawers. When the man reappeared, he was holding a wooden case filled with bracelets, necklaces, and collars.
"All of these items are enchanted with a spell that will cause anyone who looks at you to regard your changes as completely normal. They will still see a gorgeous equine woman," he winked, "But it won't cause them to run in unnecessary panic."
"That's perfect!" Amy said. She looked at the lovely items and decided that, as long as she was a horse girl, she might as well live it up. She pointed a thick finger at a leather wristband with a small metal horseshoe as the clasp. "What color is that?"
"Brown," the man replied. "The horseshoe is steel."
"Great," she said, plucking it up.
"Amy, you know that's not what I was talking about!" Lina protested. "You need something to change you BACK!"
Amy ignored Lina and slipped the wristband and clasped it shut. She turned to Lina and said "Well? How do I look?"
Lina looked at the collar, then all over her furry body. "You look...good I guess, but this is still weird" Lina said plainly. "let's just get out of here."
"So you don't care about changing me back anymore?"
"I do!" Lina said. "But I know I can't convince you. It's your body, you can do whatever you want. I hope you change your mind though."
Amy turned back to the old man, eyebrow raised questioningly.
"It's not going to work on her, she's seen you without it already." The old man said. "You'll be fine for everyone else though."
"Oh, that's alright then. I think I'll take it!" She smiled.
After paying for the clothes, brush and collar, Amy ducked into a changing room quickly and checked out the clothes she had just put on. They fit perfectly. Having shorts was a lot better than long pants too. Her legs weren't quite human-shaped anymore, and now that she had fur she didn't need as much clothing to stay warm.
Amy described to Lina the various ways in how she had been transformed while they walked back home. Lina was still slightly horrified, but interested all the same. They were approaching Lina's house as the sun fell below the trees, and Lina asked Amy if she'd like to stay for a while and do their homework together.
