Amy thought about it, but she couldn't bring herself to lie to such a sweet girl.
They sat down at their lab station, Amy barely having to squat to sit on the small stool, her hooves still on the ground, while the 5'5" Samantha hopped up, her sneakers sitting on the last rung of the stool.
As the Professor prepared the lab lesson for that day, Amy quickly and quietly explained about the magic store. How she had inadvertently given herself a horse tail, but had kept going until she was fully an anthropomorphic horse girl.
Sam listened with rapt attention, her only actions were to keep tucking back the strands of shoulder-length copper hair that kept sliding from behind her ear. Amy found the action surprisingly cute.
Unlike Lina's initial reaction, Sam didn't seem at all disturbed by the idea of magic or transformations. As the Professor stood up to begin the lesson, she whispered, "Can you take me to that store? It sounds fascinating."
"Well..." said Amy, uncertainly. She had planned on going with just Lina after both their classes were done.
Her eyes found Sam's bright blue ones, and at the look of sincere excitement on Sam's cute face, she couldn't bring herself to say no.
"Okay, sure!" She said.
"Awesome," said Sam slightly exuberantly.
"I mean, who gives a crap about Chemistry," she said, quickly quieting back down to a whisper when some nearby students turned their heads in surprise at her words, "when magic is real!"
Amy smiled at her, and they quickly got to work on their lab assignment, something about turning one compound into another...
