Stella loved games. Ever since her father bought his family their first game console, she’d love to play. Unfortunately, she never got good at any game she played, unlike her older and younger brother, who seemed to natural excel at any game they out their hands on. Brad (the oldest) was an FPS god with reaction timing and luck that would bankrupt a casino. Jason (the youngest) had lightning fingers and a memory to recite a dictionary, which made him a god at fighting games. It got so bad he was banned from tournaments due to him winning too much, even ranked players blinks not to test him. Her mother was a writer, so she got stuck playing story based games with her often. Her father was the boy’s manager, making sure all the business things were taken care of with the sponsor deals and agents and all that. Stella often found herself jealous of her brothers and their success. She wondered if she even belonged in her family. All this rejection left her pent up in more ways than one. Her older brother had a hot girlfriend that stayed in the house with them, and she hated Stella with a passion. Her younger brother was getting phone numbers left and right any time he’d step outside. Even her best friend Marcy had a boyfriend that loved video games and was pretty good at them. She felt so lost and alone, but then she got a text message.
Stella checked her phone and saw a message from Marcy that said, “You hit the jackpot, girl!” With a picture of some Gamer Fuel in a sports drink gallon bottle. She figured it excessive and laughed it off like it was a joke, but she kept reading anyway. She saw that it was at the local magic shop and it was on sale for a very cheap price. As much as she didn’t believe it, she probably would never get an opportunity like this again. She ran as fast as she could put to the magic store and bought the potion.
