Desperate for some form of praise from his new fathers, Terry changed “higher” to “lower”. Nothing seemed to change.
“Time to go home,” a voice said. Terry looked up. The other businessman had returned. He smiled at Terry. “Did you enjoy a day at work with Dad?”
“Yeah,” Terry chirped, getting to his feet. His other father, Robin, got up from his desk.
“Terry was very well-behaved. And honestly, Landon, I think that’s all we can ask for.”
“I agree,” said Landon. He walked over to Robin and kissed him on the cheek. “Let’s go home, love.” Landon took Terry’s hand. The three of them left the building and walked up to an SUV. Landon helped Terry get into the SUV and buckled.
Glad to have finally met some expectations, Terry sat back and listened to his new fathers talk.
“Terry is so wonderful, I wonder if we should have another kid,” Landon said. Terry sat up straight, his mind racing. Another kid? A younger sibling? It was certainly an interesting thought, even if he wasn’t sure how he felt about it.
Terry took out the phone, opened the app, and generated a new sentence.
“Robin and Landon are considering another child.”
