It seemed like Terry couldn’t meet expectations even if he was eight. But maybe if he was a bit younger? He changed “8-year-old” to “6-year-old”, then generated a new sentence.
“Robin is frustrated that his 6-year-old son doesn’t know algebra yet.” Terry grimaced. That wouldn’t work. Maybe four?
“Robin feels like his 4-year-old son shouldn’t wet the bed at night.” Terry sighed softly. Wetting the bed would be more difficult to avoid, especially at his age. Two?
“Robin wants his 2-year-old son to move from diapers to training pants.” Perfect! Terry was sure that he could handle that challenge! Sudden horror gripped him as he realized what he had done. He was so desperate for approval that he put himself back into diapers! Hurriedly, Terry went to generate a new sentence, but before he could, the phone was taken from his newly chubby hands.
“No, Terry, stop playing with Daddy’s phone,” Robin said tiredly.
“But-” Terry tried.
“No buts. You only get Daddy’s phone when you do something good, remember?” When Terry didn’t say anything, Robin prompted him. “Remember?”
“Yeth,” Terry lisped. Robin grimaced.
“God, I hate that lisp,” he muttered under his breath. Terry considered this new information. It seemed like he wouldn’t be able to use the app to fix things until he did something that Robin (and potentially his other father) approved of. As of that moment, he had two options: fix the lisp or get out of diapers.
Terry knew immediately which one would be easiest for him to do.
