Overwhelmed, Matt read through all the options. The opportunity to realize his deepest fantasies put him at a loss as to what he should decide on first. He scrolled for 20 minutes, almost deciding several times and then backing out.
As he scrolled back up to the top of the page, he noticed a link that he could have sworn wasn’t there before.
“Chronivac Item Placement Services?” He read out loud. He clicked. A new window opened.
“Welcome to Chronivac Item Placement Services,” read the page. “A new feature of the 6.0 update is the ability to enter our new placement service. This function will match you with other chronivac users in need of useful items in their daily life. You can sign up as recipient of a transformed individual, or become the object of one of our verified, trustworthy customers. Simply input the type of work you wish to perform, your price (if applicable) and the Chronivac will match you up with a like-minded individual! We accept PayPal and all major credit cards (except Discover).”
Matt was intrigued by the idea. He pressed enter. He spent the next hour or so signing various contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and filling out his personal stats. This could be fun, he thought. The idea of a random transformation that was still within parameters he could control. He wouldn’t have to decide himself.
Since he had the day off, he logged into the Placement Services portal. He set the duration for 4 hours, and set the location parameters to within his city. He took a deep breath, and then pressed “search for postings.”
“Searching…” read the window. A second block of text appeared. “WARNING: Subjects offering themselves as objects must accept positions offered or risk termination of Placement Services account.”
Wait… thought Matt. Does this mean I can’t back out if I’m not into it…?
