"Okay, okay. I'll drink. Just pass it over." Thinking fast, Jack tricks Dean into handing him the cup and proceed to shove it into Dean's muzzle. "Haw-Hee?!" Dean struggles briefly in surprise before he starts drinking in great gusto, draining the beer in one go. "HAAAAAW... THawt Heet the spHawt!" Dean slurs and sways unsteadily in place, Jake tuck him away on a nearby bench so he doesn't end up falling and eating the dirt. "I had to - I don't want to drink it. I'm so sorry Dean." Jake turn his back to the waiting line, trying hard to forget the sight of Dean's new tail growing in.
Dusk begins to settle. The waiting line dwindles until there's barely any boys approaching Jake's cart anymore, a lot of them straight up fell onto all fours braying before they reached the cart and getting herded off by the staff. None of the boys seems to notice, too drunk in the alcoholic and adrenaline high to care or register the fact. Jake can't help but pat and check himself every time one of them hits the ground braying after finishing their drink.
Jake soldiers on, passing beer after beer until a hand clamps down on his shoulder. He turn to see the man in red, smiling jovially at him. "Well done!" He booms, slapping him in the back. "I'm glad to see you working hard! We'll take it from here. Go back to the bunk house, you deserve a meal and a rest. "
"W-what?"
"You've worked enough, boy! The work's going to be tougher tomorrow, you know?"
"Not that! I-I mean, w-what's with the...?" Jake frantically mimics the donkey ears with his hands.
"Ah, that." The man's smile only grow wider and more mischievous, "They'll be fine once the job is over. You'll know more when you make it to the end of tomorrow, do we have a deal?"
