After having improved the life of everyone's in his family, Colin decided to put the Journal of Facts for the time being. He needed to think carefully of his next move.
Once they were finally at home, the first thing Colin did was to place the Journal of Facts on the table so he would have his hands free to help his family transport their baggage in the house. But said journal was bored and, as a result, used its powers to make the first person to see it unable to resist the urge to use it, even if they wouldn't be aware they would rewrite reality.
Said person just happened to be Colin's mother. Her life as a CEO might be exhausting, she found it fulfilling, to the point she used her own life as a model to what a successful life should look like. Of course, as a loving mother, all she ever wished for her children was to be even more successful in life than she was, a desire the Journal of Facts could easily twist and was more than happy to do so, preferably with horrible results.
As far as the mother was concerned, Jane was already well on her way to a happy and successful life, even if she would have preferred to see said daughter do it by other means than through stardom. (So there wasn't much the Journal could do on this front, and the few things it could were rather boring.) It's for Colin's future that she was worried. She feared the ‘poor boy’ would and-up as a stay-at-home husband. Not that she had anything against such a man, after all she had married one, which let their children be raised by one of their loving parents rather than a potentially unloving nanny, but she wanted more for Colin.
And overachiever that wanted her children to be even more overachieving? That was a godsend to the loathsome Journal.
Under the influence of the Journal of Fact, Colin's mother wrote that whatever God existed was a cruel being who cared little about humanity and had exterminated all male demons without any real reason and, in the hope to force the female ones to obey him, used his overwhelming powers to make all of them fall helplessly in love with a human, a good christian, to the point they would use their magic to bind themselves to said man so they would be unable to disobey him. (Said human being Colin, of course.)
Naturally, thing didn't turn as God expected and, the magical link Colin now had with all those demonesses had twisted his mind, turning him into a being as heartless as God himself, ordering his numerous lovers to dethrone said divinity in his name. To even Colin's own surprise, they succeed, making him the new God, which made the now almighty Colin even more wicked.
The best exemple of how inhumane he became was what he did to his sister. Jane was had been forced to become his ‘hightest priestess’, the pop's equivalent in the new only religion, which not only put an unwanted end to her career, but also force her to wear an outfit that don't let the slightest bit of skin to be shown, including a mask that not only hide her whole face, but also deform her voice. Colin also ordered his angels to destroy any records of her voice and appearance, including any memories peoples might have. In fact, even her name was forgotten, Colin, his wives and his angels being the only ones to remember it, beside Jane herself.
