Colin look at his sister. Jane is his fraternal twin, and almost died at birth. Her umbilical cord had enrolled itself around her neck, depriving her brain (and her whole body) of its needed supply of oxygen for long enough for her to have sequels. All her life she was mocked for it, like it was her fault, and it always made Colin mad. Add to it her D.N.A. somehow mixed their mother's Asian heritage with their father Irish one in the ugliest way possible, and you understand why nearly no one approached, or spoke of, poor Jane without being mean spirited.
But making the girl an ugly retard wasn't enough for god apparently, since he stuck their father in a poorly paid dead-end job and is often stuck doing unpaid overtime, which frustrate their rather overbearing mother, who could only find a part time job as a waitress. When she is not working, she's trying to help him and his sister but let be honest, she is an obstacle to Colin's studies and is downright incompetent with ‘special’ children. His father is far better at taking care of Jane, but he rarely have the time.
So, Colin decide that in order to improve his sister's life, he first need to improve his family's and write "While young, my mother got an opportunity to put her commanding nature to good use in founding her own society, which rapidly become very successful and is now a worldwide business."
"While, because of this, mother is very busy and don't have much time for my sister and me, it freed my dad, letting him realize his dream of being a stay at home father, taking care of his kids. He also take some small freelance work as an illustrator from time to time, making good use of his study in that field."
Already, he could feel everyone's mood improving, including his own, but he was only starting. Now, it's the time for Colin to tackle the core of the problem!
"My sister is the most stunning blend of Irish and Asian, making her very popular. Most say she's a downright bombshell, but being her sibling I can't really judge her sexiness, I just don't look at her this way. Sure, at birth her umbilical cord enrolled itself around her neck, but the doctors were able to untangle her before it could make more damage than a barely guessable scar. Our parents made sure we know the story, and how Jane could have ended, as a lesson about kindness, to make sure we would never mock someone for being different."
"Thanks to her beauty and kindness Jane became a very successful teen model, actress and songstress, a status she use to help peoples, specifically handicapped children, a important cause for her since she could have been one, something she never tried to hide from the public. She even insisted to have an amputee friend of hers get a part in one of her movies. The girl is another talented actress and was perfect for said part, but because she's missing a leg, (Something rendered even more stupid by the fact her character was stuck in a wheelchair in the script) was denied the role at first. Jane is also known to have inherited dad's talent in the graphic art, often doodling on her signings rather than writing her name."
"And even with all this, Jane still study as any teenage girl our age should, and find time to spare in her schedule for her family. In fact, she's better at finding time for us than mother ever was."
Now that he wrote a life he think ideal for his sister, Colin stop writing and look at his sister, who he's convinced turned out so gorgeous every boys get a hard-on the instant they see her, as she seemed to get bored. "I don't understand why you insist we take the car to see our grand-parents, especially since I had a signing session planed in the same city during our stay. I'm sure Kamelia could have arranged something."
"Oh, I'm sure your agent could have" answer their father "but I'm not sure she would have been happy about it. And even if she had agreed, you know how your grand-parents are. They would have grumbled about it during all our stay! No, no… We only see them once a year. Less, in the case of your mother. And you would antagonize them over a little discomfort?"
After a short pause, he pursue "And if you're bored you can always sing one of your hit. Don't you have promised to make an appearance in that charity concert in two days? A rehearsal is in order, don't you think, my little songbird?"
Before Jane could start, her mother add "And don't forget to warm up before, it wouldn't do for you to damage your vocal chords, Jane."
"Of course, mother." The young star follow her mother instruction, warming up her voice.
