"Dammit dammit dammit" Monica cursed as she marched into the attic of what was once her parents, now soon to be the selling proceeds of some super lucky drunk driver's settlement while she and her now permanently lower body crippled father are forced into some dinghy disabled-hating high floor apartment...
...what are the odds of all this foal luck though, her father hated taking alcohol and knew the road from the crash like the sports books he read non-stop and got the updates for. the party he and Monica's mother had been to that day was a school event and no alcohol was provided...
...but of course then this crash happened where her parents' collided with this really drunk plaintiff's who had been to god knows how many bars while hiding he was driving. the crash killing Monica's mother on impact while her dad's hips got permanently disconnected from crushing...
...yet bizarrely the tests from the investigation claimed the drunk was as sober as stone and Monica's father was high, not helping matters was this claim the guy supported his terminally sick niece. from this and the joke of a criminal trail following Monica's father was jailed for 5 years, forced to cough up 6 times his and Monica's mother's savings (making things harder the school board fired him without severance pay and pension)...
...now here Monica was having to sort out everything within the house to be sold (surely at a knocked down value in the papers the backs got as the drunkard was handling the sale) and social services not accounting for her father's condition in the re-housing so long as they avoided having to partake in the payments.
so now here Monica was, listing down everything and using her mum's tablet device that thankfully she was gifted the password to awhile ago to check out average prices for in the hopes that she could at least gather together enough or find something to pay off this lucky drink loving crock.
but after awhile of disappointing results in the growing list, within this box hidden deep among the vast collection of items was something Monica herself would be keeping and would be changing her life forever bit god knows in if it was a good or worse way.
but just what was this find:
