After having improved the life of everyone's in his family, Colin decided to put the Journal of Facts for the time being. He needed to think carefully of his next move.
Once they were finally at home, the first thing Colin did was to place the Journal of Facts on the table so he would have his hands free to help his family transport their baggage in the house. But said journal was bored and, as a result, used its powers to make the first person to see it unable to resist the urge to use it, even if they wouldn't be aware they would rewrite reality.
Said person just happened to be Colin's father.
Somehow said father couldn't help but feel that God would have gladly let Jane become a retard, if not outright die, and it was the timely intervention of some other entity that let the doctors untangle his little girl from her umbilical cord before it was too late. If God was willing to kill random babies just because he could, what other horrors might he cause for fun?
So he wrote that every bad things that happen in the world is, somehow, the result of God's manipulations and demons were actually the good ones. In fact, the first demoness used to be an angel named Lilith. After refusing to let Adam, the first human, rape her, she was banned from heaven and became the first succubus. A very, VERY long time later, a group of angels learned the truth about Lilith and rebelled, under the lead of Lucifer. They too were banned, each of them becoming the first of a separate kind of demon.
As generation passed, demons drain humanity of its evilness using ‘natural’ selection, being diabolized somehow helping them in this task, to God's exasperation. But even nowadays a lot need to be done before humanity is totally drained of evil.
Colin's father could have stopped there, but the Journal of Facts sensed he could make him write even more, so he did and the father wrote that a few months ago, Colin saw a woman about to be raped and, taking a nearby lose pipe as makeshift weapon, strikes the would-be rapist's head, not knowing the poor woman was in fact a disguised Lilith, queen of succubi, about to diminish the quantity of evil in humanity's genetic pool.
While it wasn't the first time Lilith was ‘rescued’, it was the first time she couldn't feel any ulterior motive in her rescuer. It was enough to make her fall in love for the otherwise unassuming teenager. The demoness did something totally unlike her: She threw caution to the wind and revealed who and what she truly was. To her surprise, Colin didn't assume she was evil incarnate, and even seemed curious to hear her side of the story.
As day passed, they learned to know each other better, Lilith still in love with Colin, and said teenager starting to reciprocate. Soon she started visiting her boyfriend at home shapeshifted as a teenage girl, his family not knowing the truth about her. Even his sister, Jane, think she's a student in another school he first met at the mall or something. Only Colin know that most of the time she's either cleaning the human gene-pool, plotting against God, or acting as one of the few ethical CEO in the world.
Because now that some humans had a small enough quantity of evil in them to be able to choose to do good, hell's bosses (the first demon of each kind) decided it was time to give us some good examples, and they each created a new company and made them grow into big corporations while making sure it was exclusively owned by demons and run ethically.
For that plan, Lilith had created the persona of Lilian Radiance, founder and CEO of Radiance Inc. But that identity starting to be a bit old, she recently created another identity for herself: Lilac Radiance, grand-daughter of Lilian. (And if the two needed to be at the same place simultaneously, she could always ask one of her succubi to play one of the two roles.)
Colin himself had never been in her office in Radiance H.Q. until a few days ago. Lilith had invited him and his family there as Lilian Radiance, pretending he had postulated for an internship. The truth was that demons needed his help using an artifact. An artifact God had made so powerful it could cause his fall, so powerful not even him could destroy it. But also an artifact with a mind of its own, a mind as evil as God himself. An artifact no demon can use. That artifact is none other than the Journal of Facts.

Seeing his father writing in the Journal of Fact, Colin ran toward it screaming "DAD!" while violently taking the journal back. "It's personal!" He just hoped his father didn't let the Journal's evil get to him while he used it…
