"Hey, honey, why don't you let me keep it instead? I'm a little worried you might drop it or something." Lou asked his daughter.
"I promise I won't drop it daddy, please may I keep it?" Lucy pleaded with her father.
"Lucy, do you remember what happened the last time you got hold of mommy's jewelry?" Lou asked Lucy.
Lucy didn't respond as she started to frown remembering not too long ago, she had gotten into her mother's jewelry case and accidentally broke a few things. Her mother didn't get mad at her, but she was a little sad she lost some of her jewelry. So Lucy reluctantly handed over the ring to her father. Lou thought about putting it in his pocket, but then decided to put it on his ____finger so he wouldn't lose it.
"Anyway Lucy, we should probably be getting home. I have some things to do." Lou said to Lucy his who crossed her arms at this.
Lou wondered if he should say something to his daughter now or waited until they got home to explain himself.
