Charlie knew 4 heads were better than one, so he went to find his helpers, Bert, Ned, and Sid.
Bert, was stout, with brown frizzy mad-scientist style hair, wearing a orange sweater, brown pants, and black boots.
Ned was thin, with yellow hair rising tall, glasses, and wore a purple sweater, green pants and grey boots.
Sid was slightly lower than Ned, and he had a small pot-belly, dark brown hair, and he wore a white plaid shirt, brown overalls, and black boots.
CHarlie explained about the occurrences of the problem, and Ned, Bert and Sid were only too happy to help.
They went down to the river edge, and stared at the water.
Now that Charlie had help, what did he decide to do?
He asked his helpers, and they, of course, had some ideas:
"Maybe we could drink the water to test it." Ned suggested.
"Maybe we could test it from another facility that gives water, like the bath." Sid said.
"Maybe we could put our feet in the water to test it." Bert said. "We've been working all day and our feet are killing us!"
"Those are some good ideas," said Charlie, "but I've been thinking - since today is a warm sunny day, howzabout we all go for a dip in the waterhole? That way, we can cool off, and at the same time, find out about the water."
"You're right. They are some real good ideas." Bert said. "How can we pick just one?"
"It's a real tough choice." Ned said.
"If ya wanna consider one of our ideas, Charlie," Sid said, "we ain't stoppin' ya."
"But then again," he added, "I kinda like your idea, Charlie. The crazier the idea, the better, I always say."
