As Luke hit the remote, it took him a second to look what he had hit. With the still latex claws he didn´t feel anything, but at least he had not heard anything break. His claw was lodged deep into the speech button. Luckily his other claws had missed the other buttons around it by millimeters. It took a minute or so to get the claw out of the button carefully, not wanting to damage the remote anymore.
“Oh no, I hope I didn´t break anything. I don´t want to be stuck without fore-paws. Or ass trapped as my ass.” Luke said in a deeper voice then normal. He realized what he said and quickly tried apologizing: “Sorry, ass, that didn´t want to call you an ass.” As it wasn´t better, he kept his muzzle shut afterwards.
Kevin at first thought of it as an insult to him, and spoke out of Luke´s muzzle next: “What the hell, Luke? Why would you call ass an ass? Ass am not the bad ass between you.” Kevin´s voice was also deeper, and rougher than normal. But he, too, realized he hadn´t exactly said what he wanted and made a test: “Okay, I´m ass, Luke´s ass. Great, ass can´t call say asses name.” The end sounded rather depressed already.
Luke was shocked that Kevin called himself an ass so often, but then detected what was wrong exactly. “Ass, I´m sorry, I will try to fix this for me.” He couldn´t even include his brother as an individual being in his speech.
“Please Luke. Ass can´t stand this, being called ass the whole time.” Kevin answered a bit hopeful. He sure was already annoyed and depressed by calling himself an ass whenever he used either his name, his family position, or even words that reflected on him. It was so degrading.
“At least you can still talk. If you were bond to your form, ass normally couldn´t, right?” Luke said, trying to cheer up his brother as he slowly lowered his claw above the remote again, targeting the human button.
“Ass guess you are right, Luke. But it´s degrading to ass.” Kevin replied, seeing that Luke was right. At least he could still talk, even when he called himself an ass the whole time.
