When Luke landed on the remote, he hadn´t looked down, so he didn´t now at first where he hit it. Both he and Kevin felt the latex recede from their body, at first relieved that Luke hit the right button. But as quickly as the felt relieved, it turned to shock, seeing not human skin, but real fur emerging underneath.
“You/I hit the exchange button” they said at the same time. Kevin couldn´t feel any latex anymore, while Luke felt it form a collar around his neck. “You need to undo this, Luke. I don´t want to be stuck here.”
“And I wouldn´t either. It was a bad idea to share the parts. But now we are smarter. I will try to undo this. At least the real claws are better to work with.” Luke replied, a bit annoyed his brother would think he had wanted this.
“Okay, sorry, I didn´t mean you did this on purpose. Be careful with the claws, they should be sharper now.” Kevin replied, hearing the tone of Luke´s voice.
Luke nodded as he slowly lowered his left paw again. But just as he was about to hit the exchange button again, a shudder went through Kevin´s body-half, and Luke hit the button right next to exchange, speech, instead.
“Damn it Kevin, whyr dird yorrr grrr…” Luke started, only to lose his voice, turning it into growling, snarling and howling instead.
Kevin wanted to answer him, but he, too, only growled lowly. He had understood Luke´s growling as the question why he had to shudder, and had wanted to reply that he didn´t know why his body shuddered.
Only that what Luke heard in the growling wasn´t “I” or “his” from Kevin, but ass in both places. They quickly noticed that both couldn´t call Kevin by his name, or even refer to him as anything other then Luke´s ass now, at least in speech.
They waited a bit, hoping that Kevin´s shivering would end soon, but it didn´t. Quite the opposite, because soon Luke´s upper body also shivered on itself by now.
They growled at each other a bit more, deciding they either needed to try while shivering or wait for it to stop, ending in waiting. Luke carefully wanted to push the remote away from them, to not accidentally hitting anything, but with a jerk of his paw hit the sleep button before the remote was pushed away by his dropping form, slipping under the couch as their body hit the ground, both minds in deep sleep.
