Janet had only walked a few steps into the alley, when she heard a noise behind her and everything suddenly went black.
She couldn't tell how much time had passed when she started to regain consciousness.
Janet blinked her eyes, trying to figure out where she was, only to realize that she had been strapped to the kind of metal bed one might see in a morgue. She was startled when she heard a voice next to her. "Ah, i see you've awoken."
She turned to the side and saw that the voice came from a WildKat that was standing next to her.
He seemed much older and calmer than the other WildKats. She realized that he was likely one of the first generation.
"Don't worry, you will not be harmed. Your actions may have cost us some of our comrades, but we know that it wasn't your fault."
Janet scoffed. "Your 'comrades' earned their time in prison for what they've done."
The cat's expression slowly fell after Janet had finished her sentence.
"Prison? Do you really think that's where they bring us? Do you really not know?! ARE YOU JUST THAT IGNORANT OR-"
He had almost been screaming, when he suddenly stopped. "No, i'm sorry, they've obviously kept you in the dark."
He looked at her with compassion. "It's our fault, we should have come to your help much sooner, but all we did was fight you."
The cat put one of his tiny paws on her forehead. "I actually see a lot of myself in you-" "I am nothing like you!"
Janet interrupted the cat, who didn't seem particularly bothered. "I'm sorry, but i would have had to do this sooner or later."
The cat suddenly shoved a thick ball of cloth into her maw, forcing it wide open,
before quickly wrapping a belt around her snout and tightening it, closing her mouth as much as it could around the cloth.
"I'm sorry that i had to do that, but who knows what they included in your brainwashing?
It could have forced you to commit suicide for all we know." He said, as he patted her forehead.
"Well, that brings us to why you're here." He hopped down from the small stool he was standing on.
"I've thought about what they did to you a lot, but i couldn't figure out HOW they did it." He quickly returned with something in his hands.
"I'm sorry, but i'll have to use a somewhat barbaric method." He put something on her head that Janet couldn't from her angle.
"But i promise i will be here with you. Every step of the way."
The cat lifted a red button and Janet's eyes went wide when she realized what was about to happen.
Janet suddenly felt like she'd been hit by lightning, her entire body convulsing violently in response.
The cat moved his paw away from the button and leaned over her. "How to you feel Shedra?"
She silently glared at him in response, causing him to shake his head. "It seems this was nowhere near enough."
He shook his head, before adjusting something close to the button and pressing his paw down on it again.
