Hank, realizing what was next, sighed deeply and picked up the dice. I could tell that he really didn't feel like actively participating anymore, but I guess none of us did, minus the grinning orc sitting to the left of me.
Hank shook the dice a bit and let them go, watching as they landed on a one and a one.
"Yikes!" Amber was getting a little into the game now, even though she hadn't been through the worst of it yet. "Snake eyes! Sorry babe."
However, instead of being upset, Hank was relieved. He pointed to where his piece had moved and we all looked to see that it landed on a white space. "A null space. Thank fucking god." Hank said, relieved.
"You lucky bastard." Gina was clearly upset that he didn't even change, whereas she had just turned into a kid. I have to be honest, but it was kinda funny hearing those words come out of the mouth of a seven year old, and I'm sure Thomas did too, as my new ears managed to pick up a tiny chuckle come out of his mouth.
We all laughed for a bit before we looked to Hank's left, revealing a still laughing Amber who of course was sitting next to her boyfriend. Once she realized it was her turn, her smile faded into a face of shock.
"No fucking way." She obviously wasn't having it. "I'm sorry, but I don't think I can do this." Before we were able to try and talk some sense into her, she ran upstairs and closed what I was sure was the bathroom door, as evidence by the harsh creaking that I was surprised didn't completely destroy my sensitive ears.
We all sat in silence before Hank stood up and told us that he was going to try and talk to her. After he left Josh smiled and said "Well, if we're on break, I might as well indulge in some snackage while I'm at it." With his green, grubby hands he reached into the popcorn bowl and chowed down.
"How the hell are your hands already dirty?" Asked Thomas. "I know Orcs are pretty gross by default, but didn't we all just take showers?"
"He did just masturbate." I added. "And his dick looked pretty dirty too."
"LET'S PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT DICKS!!!" Gina yelled as loudly as she could in her tiny body. And just as she said that, a defeated looking Amber trudged down the stairs with Hank, who had an empathetic hand on her shoulder.
"I'll play." Amber said. "I'm sorry guys, I just thought this night would be fun. I didn't realize that I could end up becoming something like that." She motioned towards Josh, who was still stuffing massive amounts of popcorn into his mouth, before the bowl was empty and he excused himself to make more.
Amber sighed and took the dice in her hands, as she started shaking and let go. The dice landed on a 6 and a 3. "Nine."
Her whole body seemed to be shaking as we looked to see what color she landed on. "Wait, what does a question mark mean?" Amber asked, before the top card loosened itself. Before I was able to look at the rules Amber had already gone for the card and started reading.
