Sal came over and hugged Rachel. True to Larry's word, Sal wasn't changed at all. "Sorry you lost Rachel. But that means we get to serve Master Larry instead. So it isn't all bad."
"Yeah yeah, my reason for existence now is to serve the twerp with every fiber of being. Trust me. I know. Walking out on him feels less like abandoning a job and more like betraying what gives me my motivation for living. And my 'bad attitude' seems to turn him on. So even my thoughts about him fulfill my function."
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Shouted the jackal girl from the audience in despair at the loss of her idol and fainted into her chair on the spot. Randal had reached for the stars and gambled everything, only to be burned and become part of someone else's dream instead.
"Dangit," Rachel said seeing the jackal girl's heart broken. "That sucks. And Roy is gonna need a new star to agent for... oh well." That had been Randal's problems, not hers.
"So. It comes down to us eh?" Brady said, with Lilly at his side.
"Sure looks that way!" Mickey said leaning back in Amelia. She stroked her prize. Really, Amelia wasn't all that different from the hundreds of monks who in the last fifty years had been turned into conscious animal-girl statues in prayer poses then placed in a secure vault under their temples and monasteries. It was a failsafe in case humanity was unexpectedly wiped out so there would still be someone to prayer for all those lost souls. Even if it meant the statues themselves would have to wait for the sun to devour the Earth in 7.5 billion years for their own judgement day ,(there was talk of launching some in a space probe so they might pray in peace for the lifespan of the universe).
"For the record, if I could just walk out of this game now, I would. But I'm trapping playing this game to the end. Still, fifteen new family members... gonna be a handful."
"They'll make a Japanese anime out of it. Just you wait." Micky nodded. "Just make sure you read the fine print!... Of course. That would only happen if you win. And I don't intend to lose. And the only challenge I'm accepting are video game challenges! Even if I can't do those same three games, there are plenty more out there! I can already think of some super hot, and super cute things to turn ya into. I'm think a pair of mascot statues so you aren't apart."
"Thanks a lot dudette. I remade Magda as much as I did to get Lilly back. I won't have to change ya ... quiet as much, ya know?"
"Thank you kindly. But I'm not losing. And you two are gonna such a pretty statue together. I think I'll turn the rest into my android gaming partners or stuff like that."
"Ultra Smash Squad Finale."
"OH YOU GOT IT!" Micky grinned.
In a flash the giant screen returned along with the nude shaped catgirl controllers. If one paid attention, one realized the game console itself had once been human, but now a turtle girl shaped machine with the controller cables connecting to her lower body. She likely had every video ever made by Pretendo inside her.
The two didn't need to be told what to do. Both picked their character. Mickey went for Redda Knight and Brady went for...
"Snugglypuff? Are you nuts? She's the weakest character in the game next to Sparklesqueak, and he damages HIMSELF with his special moves!"
"I dunno, I think she'll do alright." Brady said.
"Your funeral." Micky said, but she was worried, Snugglypuff was weak... but it also had one nasty move that was almost impossible to pull off.
They chose the flat Final Battle stage and began.
Redda Knight moved as a tornado of bladed death. Snugglepuff was a balloon. It should have been a one and done fight. But Brady kept retreating. Whether bad sportmanship or not, it wasn't against the rules. And if his plan was to force a sudden death, Micky wasn't sure that would play to his advantage. But she didn't want to risk it.
Then Snugglepuff just stopped. Years of video game practice did their thing as ReddaKnight moved in for the kill... then Snugglepuff used their signature move... nap time. She grabbed hold of Redda Knight, turned him into a cat girl shaped pillow, and laided down for a rest. After poofing back (proof this was a video game), Redda Knight took massive damage... and having been lured to the edge of the stage, he was shot off screen and smashed into the invisible wall beyond.
Game.
Mickey sighed. And blinked away tears. "I lose. You got me. Your dreams... are stronger than mine."
There was a flash in light.
There was another cat girl in a beach outfit with bright 80s colors. Unlike Lilly she was an early bloomer, and looked to be a couple years older to boot. Her hair and fur was a bright neon.
And, she was sitting on top of her sister, who looked to be in grade school, and was wearing a standard school uniform swimwear. In spite of having her bigger sister on top of her, she pushed up on her glasses. She was a fur cat girl, complete with purple fur and hair.
"Hi Lilly!" What had once been Mickey shouted and hugged her little sister.
"Hi Zelda!"
"Don't everyone say hello to me at once," the genius turned chair turned cat school girl. She pushed herself up and dusted herself up. Her face staying stern and matter of fact.
"Of course I'm happy to see you too Milly!" Lilly hugged her next, her tail wagging herself her. Milly kept a stoic face, but her tail betrayed she was happy to see her sister too.
"Better get the bunk beds and spare rooms ready... our family's gonna be big..." Brady said with a smile sitting down. He just hoped he could survive all the clawing when he had to tell them to eat their greens and go to bed.
