Something is wrong, you think.
You know that something is seriously just, *not right* but you can’t seem to think through an intense pounding in your skull. Your head is in your hands but they feel… strange, misshapen.
The lights seem to be pulsing, your vision a mess of hazy auras and light flares as you try to look around to see what’s happened, what IS happening, but you can’t take the sensory input, it only makes the throbbing in your face and cranium worse, so you close your eyes.
Your ears twitch, and you can hear Jess faintly... it sounds like she’s yelling, but from so far away. You want to be able to help her, but your entire body is pounding and spasming in time with the light you can still see flaring through your eyelids. Your bones ACHE! Your muscles are quivering, spasming and stretching involuntarily, and you feel horribly swollen all over.
Something brushes against your backside, like a tassel of long hairs, but… how can you feel it through the costume? You’re still in the dressing room, but you think you’ve fallen to the floor, curled up on your side - the linoleum feels cold against your hyper-sensitive skin. You lift your heavy head and twist your aching neck, but you still can’t bring yourself to open your eyes; the headache seems to have subsided the tiniest amount, so you hope keeping them closed a bit longer will further dull the pain.
Your shoulder blades spasm, and it feels as if something very heavy is pressing on your upper back, muscles flexing as you hunch and arch against the unfamiliar weight. Chills and tingles are racing over the skin of your torso, arms, head and neck, but a soft, weighted blanket of some sort suddenly drapes over you, covering you from shoulder to thigh and easing some of your anxiety.
The throbbing in your head has lessened significantly, but the cool floor feels so good against your cheek and jaw after all the aching that you decide to rest for a moment. You’ll catch your breath, just... another minute… then you’ll find Jess and figure out what the hell happened.
