Tyler Augustine is a physically toned and compassionate male wolf. He is of a comparatively strong presence, being around 6'1" in height and weighing 172 with a high muscle against fat ratio. Though probably not the most handsome on the continent he is a fair looker by lupine standards in his youth at 24.
He has a dim white coat that is broken in coloration by tawny yellow paws, feet, and tail-tip. His muzzle is of a fine length. His eyes are of the dark but not overwhelmingly piercing coloration. His head is topped by a creamy blonde most similar to his paws and tail-tip that is arranged into a relaxed natural flow just down to a sideburn length.
Tyler was known by his friends for being gregarious and open. He always served as an inlet for their vices and problems, offering sincere consolation. He never took a lover because he had no definite sexuality no even bi could accurately describe him. Despite this characteristic, Tyler was beloved for his will to defend others from what he saw to be injustice and heal them in the aftermath.
All of this likely originates from his unusually powerful paternal instincts. Tyler has tenderness in his heart for cubs and innocents and would never turn down an offer to baby-sit in his teens, a trait a few of his companions would playfully chide him for.
Tyler had just graduated from the Mernerian Academy of Trade, and had hoped to open his own retail business specializing in cubs' products. Unfortunately, his hearing to acquire his vendor's license was a week away. To pass the time, Tyler bought himself a humble two story house with the remains of his college money and savings built working at the local daycare and furnished it. He returned to his dorm and brought his prized computer and two video game consoles to his new abode and was set to wait out the week.
One night, while typically surfing the web, Tyler checked his E-mail to learn that he had been randomly chosen to receive an inventive new product courtesy of an Earthling biotechnology firm. Normally, such a gift would be dismissed as spam, but Earthling products were usually very interesting so Tyler read on. Apparently, it was a device capable of altering the personal reality of the user by creating historical edits to transform the DNA and psychology of its targets.
Tyler was interested. He was a member of the "Age Change and TF" fandom, always on the lookout for the fiction that described the marvelous concept of physical metamorphoses and the effects on relationship. Of course, he was also in disbelief that such things were possible. "Must be some new PC game," he told himself, and it was just as well. A game about his favorite pastime to bide his time with until the 7 days were over. Plus it was free! His tail swishing back and forth in his seat, Tyler replied with a notice of consent.
Not an hour later, Tyler's doorbell rang. He eased himself away from the keyboard and blinked a couple of times. Staring at the screen had tired his retina. Licking the side of his muzzle once, he strode to the door expecting a friend, therefore dressed only in a pair of red pants with a gold chain necklace resting on his collarbone. To his surprise, the Chronivac had arrived!
Standing before him was a young and expressing light-hearted human male donning the drab brown uniform of the Transdem Company. "You the Mr.Augustine?" He asked as if in some inconvenience.
Tyler stared silent for a moment. He had never seen a human up close before. The delivery boy rolled his green eyes and snapped his fingers "Yo! Fido! Merneria to commodious wolf! Do you copy?" Tyler shook his head and payed no mind to this suppliant's rudeness, "Oh, I'm sorry I’ve just never actually seen a real live human." "No kidding," the delivery boy grinned in feigned politeness, "Well then here I am in all my pink glory!," His face sobered as he retrieved from his side an electronic organizer with a stylus. He gave the stylus to Tyler and pointed to the sensitive glass rectangle at the bottom, "Sign first name here, last name here, first and last here, middle initial here, mother's maiden name here, closest living relative here, planet of birth, planet of residence, and names of any dependents." Tyler exhaustedly kept the delivery boy's pace and completed the transaction.
"Here y'go!" The boy declared, re-attaching the pad to his side curiously not printing a receipt. He moved aside to reveal a cart holding a cardboard box bearing the TransDem Labs logo, bent over to lift it, and shoved it into a barely receptive Tyler's arms. "All yours, Mr.Big Bad." "Augustine," Tyler corrected not understanding the reference to the Three Little Pigs. The delivery boy chuckled and turned to leave. Tyler, in well-meaning talkatively remarked, "This is a pretty good game, huh?" The boy stopped his return to the hoverbike which he rode to glance back at the wolf, "Game?" "Well, yeah," Tyler stated matter-of-factly, "It's got to be a videogame right? You can't really change the order of time and space with a computer peripheral." The delivery boys eyes widened with hidden knowledge and he erupted into deep laughter. Tyler cocked his head to the side and pulled his ears back. "Oh yes! In fact, Spike, if you play really well you'll find yourself saying that it's 'the bestest game ever'!" "Spike?" Tyler asked. The boy mounted his bike still suppressing giggles, "Good luck, Rover, you'll need it!" With that he was off.
Tyler watched the boy speed into the distance and wondered if all humans were as strange as he and called one another by names that their parents had not given them. Putting the matter aside, Tyler opened the box, assembled the chronivac within the hour, and uploaded the software. He was greeted by the options menu.
He read.
