Amid all the hustle and bustle in getting ready for Spookyville, it was easy to have overlooked Shelly and Molly's wedding. Come to think of it, it would have been easy to overlook even if nothing was going on. Shelly and Molly had wanted to have an official wedding. Their first wedding had been decades ago where the mere idea of homosexuality was taboo. So their marriage was...extralegal at best. But times have changed a lot in the last decade alone and there was nothing to keep a woman from marrying another woman now.
The main problem about their wedding was the lack of wedding guests. Considering their forbidden relationship (not to mention being involved with mafia-affiliated illegal fighting), they had burned a lot of bridges from their old lives. And they had not made enough new friends at Animalia yet to really fill up a church. It ended up being a small wedding, almost a private one. The guests may have been few, but at least there were enough to wish them well. Though there were two particular guests that rankled the brides a bit.

"How many times do we have to tell you, we're not interested?!" snapped Shelly.
"We were literally just married," said Molly, showing the ring on her finger.
"We didn't want to intrude," said the tiger Animalian.
"Showing up to an event where you weren't invited is the definition of intruding," growled Shelly.
"We're not trying to break it up," said the polar bear Animalian, "But you know we've been assigned to you from Homosexuals Anonymous."
"And why should that matter?" asked Molly, "We're not ashamed to be lesbians and we're not going to conform."
"It's not about conforming." Two of the few friends that Molly and Shelly walked over. Ella and Simone had dressed up for the occasion, though their dresses did bulge out around their bellies. "Trust us on this, no one's forcing you to become straight," said Ella.
"But the plain fact is that you're going to be attracted to guys too now," said Simone, "You have to keep an open mind about that."
"I thought that program was about pairing up gays and lesbians with heterosexual partners," said Molly.
"It's about learning how to deal your new bisexual urges," said Ella, "No one has to become mates with the ones they're paired with."
"Well, there's Annie, but she chose to be with Stuart," said Simone, "But this is Nevada. People are more accepting to open marriages here. I mean, we're not married to Frank and Tom but we're still having their cubs."
"Our cubs," said Ella, putting a loving hand over Simone's.
Shelly gave the two male Animalians a dubious look before asking, "Are you only interested in us so you can father some cubs with us?"
"Absolutely not," said the tiger Animalian. Then he realized his wording was helping and quickly added, "I mean, you're find ladies, but we don't want to interfere with your relationship."
"We're just providing an outlet in case you need to vent your new urges," said the polar bear.
"It's a lot more fund than you think it is," said Simone.
"Well, I"m not looking for cubs right now," said Molly, "I just want to spend some quality time with my wife."
"Er...you think in the future, it's possible?" asked Shelly, "You know I wanted kids."
"With them?" asked Molly, looking at the 'interlopers'.
"We could do worse than them," said Shelly.
Molly gave them another look. It was true that the polar bear was handsome, though she wasn't sure if she felt real attraction to him yet. A small part in the back of her head was a little open to the idea. "Yeah, I think we could do worse," she said.
