"Do I really want to go straight home?" John wondered. Sure he could go home and just fix the lawn mower, but there was still so much of his day left. He could really do whatever he wanted. Thinking about it, he wanted to test this out more. See what else he could do. He pulled out his phone again. 'Amanda doesn't think I'll be home for a couple of hours.'
"There. That should make everything fine," John said. He slid his phone back into his pocket and headed back to his truck. His next stop was the mall. There were plenty of places to wander and see there. And if he'd given himself a couple of extra hours, maybe he should have a little fun. Or pick up something for the Missus.
It wasn't a far drive. And the mall was one of the biggest in the area. It had just about anything he could possibly want; a game store, a pet adoption center, some health supply stores, an arcade, and a big food court. However, outside there were serval construction guys working on the sidewalk. Even though it was a Saturday, they were still working hard.
John pulled into a parking space and thought about where he'd want to go.
