The door is pushed open, revealing Jerry and Amy, still looking at disappointed as before.
"What's going on in here?" Jerry barks, stalking into the room.
Amy follows, wringing her hands in worry. "You're not bullying your little brothers, are you?"
You sigh, rolling your eyes. "No, I'm not. I'm..."
"Don't roll your eyes at ME mister," Jerry says, wagging a finger down at you.
"You need to respect your father! Levi? Lincoln? What is that you're messing with?"
"Noooothing," they say in unison.
"Why don't you go ahead and hand me that nothing t-"
Suddenly, Jerry and Amy shimmer and are obscured by a bright light. A moment later, two items flop to the floor, where Jerry had been there's a plush bunny, where Amy had been there's a plush bear. Neither of the plushies move or give any sign that a moment before they'd been human.
You breathe a sigh of relief, before Pat trots over and picks up the plush bear, then walks out of the room, tail wagging. The bear squeaks as the German shepherd chomps on it.
The squeaking seems to alert Keith, the other shep entering the room soon after, spotting the rabbit plush. He gives the plush some curious sniffs, taking particular attention to its butt, before picking it up and heading out himself.
You have mixed feelings on this. You had to admit nice to not have to deal with Mr. and Mrs. Bell berating you and being frankly as annoying parents as they were neighbors, but you also weren't sure if you wanted them to be chew toys for your now very dog-minded friends.
You suppose you ought to go get them.
But wait...you look back to Lincoln and Levi. They're still their normal selves. They seem to have lost interest in fighting over the keys and are now playing with some toy cars. They didn't seem to care much about the fact that their parents had just turned into plushies. The car keys are sitting on the carpet.
You carefully pick them up. Maybe you finally had an opportunity to fix all of this...
You go over to the living room. You continue to hear squeaking. You freeze when you see Pat and Keith with the plushies. Pat seems to have stuck with just chewing on the plush bear, giving a happy growl as he pulls on an ear. Keith on the other hand has moved to more intimate relations with the bunny plush, in the process of humping it, producing the squeaking you'd heard. You can see flashes of the shep's red rocket as he does so.
You can only imagine what's going through Jerry's head at this point, being unable to move and finding himself being humped by the family pet. You'd go and retrieve the bunny plush, but with how much of a dog Keith was being, you didn't want to risk getting bitten by interrupting.
Well...you did have another solution...you look down at the keys.
