You hone in on the sound of the keys jingling coming from. You round the corner to your "brothers'" bedroom see Lincoln and Levi both tugging on something, apparently both attempting to get possession of it. To your horror, you realize that they're playing tug-of-war with the keys. The keys had been bad enough being pressed by you, you didn't want to know what would happen if a pair of kids started messing with them.
"Come oooooon, Levi, let me have them," Lincoln whined.
"We should give these back to dad, or else he's gonna be mad," Levi whined back.
Pat (or perhaps Thomas) bounced around, tail wagging, giving an occasional bark, obviously thinking some sort of game was being played between his young masters.
You slowly edged forward, trying not to make any sudden moves. "Hey, why don't you let your big brother take those off your hands."
In union Lincoln and Levi whine: "No!"
You glance over at the half-open door. There's the sound of a door clicking open. Uh-oh. The last thing you wanted was Mr. or Mrs. Bell coming in on this. They'd either unwittingly use the keys themselves or hide the keys away somewhere so no one would be whining over it. You'd need to get the keys away from them quick before either that, or they managed to hit one of the buttons on the keys.
"Uh. Guys. I'll let you use my Game Boy." The two boys stopped in their struggle of tugging the keys, eyes lit up.
"Really?" Levi squeaks.
"Are you serious?" Lincoln asked, slanting his eyes in suspicion.
You hear footsteps coming down the hall. "Yes, I am, just give me those keys." You reach for the keys.
