Kacey wondered if Rosa had chosen to ignore, or was simply ignorant of what it -meant- when a western dragon declared something, or someone, to be part of the dragon's treasure. Kacey somehow doubted the later, since as they continued to become more of what they were, and less of what they had been, the truths of their nature came to them like instinctive knowledge.
There was nothing more important to a dragon than its treasure, if you were considered part of a western dragon's treasure hoard, then that dragon would die (and kill) to protect you. Kacey had to remind herself that it was simply part of her brother's new nature. It was not that he considered those he saw as part of his treasure horde as inferior (no more than any other at least with a dragon's sense of superiority), nor were they minions to be bossed around (that was what kobolds were for, and they loved every second of it), it was how western dragons EXPRESSED love.
"Big brother," Kacey asked as she touched her horn to her brother's broken wing and mended it as good as new. "Do you consider me one of your treasures?"
James looked up at his immortal little sister... the draconic possessiveness flickering on his eyes... but also the instinctive truth his sister's new elusive nature. James proved he paid attention in economics by saying, "You're... a trust in my treasure hoard."
A trust... something that was technically James', but was also beyond his ability to control, and only came to him when it chose to. Kacey admitted it was a decent interpretation for how a draconic mind would see the unicorn his sister was now.
Kacey was still on alert, constantly, any mortal virgin who technically 'captured her' she'd be honor bound to support. Though that wasn't going to be a problem at the party for long as the number of humans dwindled. She sensed the sphinx and an incarnation of the monkey-king would join them before the party was done. She did wonder what creatures of myth the two she'd left with Kacey would be turning into about now.
